Penny Flame on Oprah

They are talking all about the sex addiction, do you believe in being addicted to sex? I just can't see it when they compare it to drugs.

alexchechs 08-25-2010 01:13 PM

By definition an addiction is a habit that control your normal part of your life. Meaning that is ruins your job, finances and relationships. So by this definition I do believe that there can be true sex addicts. People who do anything and everything for that next sexual thrill often putting themselves or others in harms way.

Rebel D 08-25-2010 01:17 PM

I agree there are defianatley sex addicts out there.

Sounds like a rapist

Just seems odd to me to have this girl running around being a party girl... a great personality at shows and did well on film... how can she now run around crying about being a sex addict? Is this all for real? the shit i seen on an episode or two of that addict show she was on... it was almost laughable to see her talk that way and express those feelings.... is it legit or is it a money thing? She has to making scratch getting in all this publicity shit.

Thats all ive wondered about her and her claims... is it all real or is it just a ploy for attention and money...

I miss the old Penny :2 cents:

SykkBoy 08-25-2010 01:25 PM

sex addiction is not the same as having a strong sex drive.
sex addiction completely takes over, as has mentioned above.

example, a typical hormones-raging teenager is not a sex addict

the addiction, or compulsion will make them do ANYTHING to feed this addiction

From reading her blog, she admits she went into it with the intention of just getting publicity to further her porn career, but ended up taking it seriously, quitting booze and drugs too. Did a complete lifestyle 180. All while making sure to not bash the adult industry.

'sex addict' sounds far too much like some bad airing of grievances getting out of hand

future ex wife: 'why did you feel like you had to fuck this woman'

unwitting peon in the spawning of new psychiatrists payday:

'i.. i.. i have some weird fixation on sex!'

future ex wife:

'you mean, like a sex addict? so you're not a sleazebag, but some innocent victim?'

unwitting peon in the spawning of new psychiatrists payday:

'i.. ahh... YYYYea, totally like an addiction to drugs. i simply couldn't help myself'

Recently she said all porn stars are prostitutes. And I believe she did say after her initial so-called retirement announcement how she was tricked into porn or told it was "modeling" or something similar.

May of last year, she wrote this heartfelt, well written blog post about how her life had fallen apart and now she's taking responsibility and will retire and start cleaning up her life. The blog post was huge and posted everywhere. She got hundreds of comments I believe and everyone was supporting her wishing her well and talking about their own struggles with substance abuse. A week later she wrote another post saying oh I never said I was completely retiring and would still direct for Vivid. LIES! She never once said she would direct or remain behind the scenes. I searched the entire blog. Then everyone turned on her. It was a publicity stunt leading up to the Celebrity Rehab appearance. I always believed she lied to get sympathy and publicity because no matter what, Kendra Jade would still be the more famous porn star on that show and she's been retired for years. Penny even turned on Kendra during that show. Jealous much??

Before ever appearing on Celebrity Rehab, the most publicity Penny ever got in her life was that retirement speech.

It seems to me like almost every girl who does porn, no matter how into the whole scene they are at the time, eventually turns away from it and decides it was a bad thing. Not all but most.

D Ghost 08-25-2010 05:56 PM

yes it's real, you can be addicted to anything. By the definition of "addiction"

The myth of sexual compulsivity. The Journal of Sex Research, 26, 347-363.

Sex is not an addiction, it is an experience rather than a substance. By definition, sex is not a state of physiological dependence and it does not lead to distress upon abrupt withdrawal. It is not a condition that exists in DSM publications . According to the authors, in our "sex-negative" culture based on Judeo-Christian traditions and currently faced with incurable AIDS, sex for recreation and outside of committed relationship is wrong, thus abnormal, thus a disease.

You can't be addicted to sex. You're either a cheap piece of shit whore (male or female) with no self esteem or you're a human being.

Liking sex and craving a lot of it is one thing. To be an addict you have to blame your whore-ness on someone else. And it is nobody else's fault. Wah, wah. I sucked thirty cocks and let them piss on me because my daddy left when I was six and my mommy lives in a trailer.

Nah. You did it because you're a whore and you want free shit. Jewelry, drugs, apartments, cars. Whatever.

The only reason these whores and addicts appear on television is so lunatic Christians and bleeding heart pussies will justify their hatred for people that are not the least bit implicit in their failings.

That doesn't "cure" them. It just justifies their bad decisions.

I think its all shit. She isn't a sex addict...She didn't even once try to fuck me in amsterdam when i met her! We also went out to smoke weed in a group, and absolutely no suggestions from her for a gangbang.

NinjaSteve 08-25-2010 10:21 PM

I believe some are addict to sex. However you have to wrap it up and sell the idea of it, it does consume many people's lives and in some cases, ruin them.

On the other hand, fuck man, it's sex! Why wouldn't you want to have as much of it as possible?

However, I do believe in PORNOGRAPHY addiction. Guys can get addicted to porn. No doubt about it. It's easier to beat off than try to have real human contact. Any look at the industry porn forums where guys are OBSESSED with girls and know every movie ever made... addicts. Mobile phone porn buyers... addicts. No doubt about it. If you can't wait to get home to rub one off, you're addicted.

Doing something you enjoy doing that brings you pleasure is a hobby. If it interferes with your job, fiances, and relationships it's called stupidity.

I have a friend of mine who is remote control cars and remote control planes. The amount of money he spends on these things is fucking insane - nearly half of his income. But I wouldn't call it an addiction - it's a hobby he enjoys.

Tom_PM 08-26-2010 08:18 AM

That doctor on that rehab show I've seen on other shows and he seems like a total creepout. I can't believe anyone takes him seriously. It's a tv show, featuring people you've wanted to watch before (at their "real" jobs on other tv shows?) and made for you to watch. Dont forget to buy all of the products advertised as well to complete your addiction to celebrity rehab. Muahaha the circle nears completion.

And just knowing stats and details about something is what being a "fan" is all about. How about decorating your tv room with your favorite sports teams colors and miscellaneous crap? Yelling at the tv for the guy to catch the ball and RUNNNNNN motherfuckerrrrrrr!!!!!!!1 Thats clearly overboard and in need of a mental health professional. Or it's just being a fan. (?) Maybe people who know all the movies a pornstar has been in is just a fan and otherwise they're just another boring meatbag around the office. Like how Bob Costas can tell you which left fielder once caught a fly ball with a bag of peanuts thrown at him from the stands. Could probably tell you what number he was, what his hitting average was, broken down by year and trivia about his momma.

Ethersync 08-26-2010 08:24 AM

I do not buy for a second that she is a sex addict. Maybe an attention addict, but not a sex addict.

czarina 08-26-2010 08:35 AM

if she were a true sex addict, she would've banged the talent for free. But she didn't, did she?

Vegas Ken 08-26-2010 10:22 AM

Either way I wish Penny the best. I have had the opportunity to hang with Penny at shows and out in the real world and found her to be tops in my books.

My g/f's hubby is into those things, she calls and bitches about how much that stuff cost. He spent $1,000 on something and boy was she mad. I had to listen to that for a hour!
