Right, but this also confirms that is almost impossible that if there is any intelligent form of life, they would be able to travel 10000's of millions of light years to come to earth and say "hello"..

Saying that aliens were in the earth is as ignorant as saying that we are alone in the infinite universe...

there have been 1000s of sightings, I doubt 100% of them are hoax. there are star systems quite close to earth, ony 4 light years away, the universe is 13 billion years old, there could be other life forms millions or even billions of years more advanced than us. I doubt very much we are alone in the universe.

The technology required to travel the universe is immense, far in advance of anything we have. The cost would be exorbitant. So you have to figure out WHY, WHAT'S IN IT FOR THEM?

They build technology way beyond our comprehension and costs to abduct a potato farmer and his wife to do experiments on them? Use a bit of common sense please. If aliens come here we would be shitting ourselves. They would want something back for their investment. They're not tourists.

Some people love to believe in myths and fantasy. Our civilisation is based on it, religion.

So they invent myths. Loch Ness monster for instance. The fact is there's not enough food in there to sustain a large creature all the year round. Not the faintest bit of evidence at all. But it does not stop people believing it exists, fueled on by those with a financial benefit to be gained.

Same goes for Big Foot, Yeti and countless other myths.

I don't see why they can't be tourists. So far in advance of us we can't imagine what their technology is but to them going out for a wander in a spaceship might be just the same as going out for a wander in your car.

well lets not forget that, we dont have to worry about just distance...the number of places to visit in just in our galaxy alone is too big to count really.

so even if you can star trek your way around...or cross an einstein-rosenburg bridge (wormhole) you still have to worry about which of the qazillion places you want to go.

Have aliens visited MAN before? Probably not. Have aliens been by Earth sometime in it's 4 billion year history? Possibly. And it's very probable that the sent probes out this way in that time. With our technology we can dectecd Neptuen size planets around other starts. It won't be long before we'll be able to detect earth size planets. So any alien civilization that was only a few hundred years ahead of us in technology would certainly be able to know that our sun contained a planet capable of supporting life. And they'd certainly have the technology to send a probe our way.

there are a few things, including some parts in the bible, that might make you think there has been at least some advanced technology long before we were thinking of it. who knows...

In fact, there are so many planets there's probably 1 000's of earth alike in the universe. There's also a possibility that one of them actually evolved in the same way/patern (we are talking about 100 of billions of planets here)
