The new internet, what are your thoughts?
 

So what are your thoughts about the new internet in terms of the re-definition of business models, opportunities, ways to get the consumers attention?

The emerging process of web with mobile and in the future with TV will play for sure a big and important role and the reach to your consumers will be also more wider.

Innovation and technology will get a key position in this process, so the "adapt or die" principle will be in effect.

Better ways to communicate and financial transactions with less scams is what we need.

The internet now is evolving into what it should be.

And what is that?

I can see what the speaker Dcat posted is talking about. Even though he's a bit extreme. The Internet has become a a big resource, big businesses and Governments like to control things like that.

The days of a "Free Internet" are IMO numbered.

I agree and its all good, I think it has some big business potentials for each of us here but it requires to be sharp and continuously adapt.

I've got an idea that I think will absolutely skyrocket in terms of popularity in a few western countries.

It's not even that expensive a proposition (i'm looking at $12k for domain, design, with another few $k on advertising). It panders to itself.

We are there soon.

I mean, it's obvious it's hard to get rich doing nothing. All this dot com sales to google and so on, was started with millions of venture capital. If you can make millions of money with porn now, starting with a broadband connection. Declare yourself king.

I don't think the internet will become paid. I have a download speed of 91 MB/sec. An upload speed of almost 17 MB/sec. The internet is widely developed here in sweden. And so far no changes has been seen more, than faster broadband...and swedish newschannels got a lot of video clips for you, too. I could also follow the wedding of crown princess victoria in my country, completely free online june 19. Which I did. And it went flawless.

I believe more of TV online (with a big thumbs up), and more of renting movies online. Dowloading computer games online. And pay for it that way. That's the future right now.

If you want a new business model. direct downloads of computer games, movies and music. Along with something like justin.tv but cleaner. Be the first to hook up major tv stations to the Internet, and make silly money...

Big $$$

People are tired of being freebie seekers.
Too. At least in my country.

I have got THE ultimate game changing idea that will revolutionize the way everything is done by everyone. It has so much potential to literally change the way we live our lives in every positive way that you can think of! Unfortunately, I don't know which idea exactly it is and I won't be able to figure it out until somebody else does it first... :( When that happens I'll post about it here to let you know I was trying to do it before them....
