the only issues I've ever had with win7 is the bullshit of being locked out of directories...

does it just work on "system directories" or all files/directories?

You don't need that to "take Ownership", but whatever works for you.

all so far... even the crap locked up in my docs etc.. and in sys folders

I've had zero issues with Windows 7. I sold my Macbook Pro to someone and I don't regret it for a second.
