575th US Soldier Killed Under Obama - Matches Bush

Quote:

Afghanistan was dubbed ?Obama?s War? last night after it was revealed that as many American soldiers have died in the conflict during his presidency as during George Bush?s entire time in office.

According to the latest death tally, 575 U.S. troops have lost their lives in Afghanistan in the 20 months since Barack Obama took office in January last year.

That is the same number of fatalities the U.S. military suffered under Mr Bush, who launched the Afghan invasion nine years ago in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.

And you fools will still sit here and argue about Republicans vs. Democrats, as if there's any real difference at the top...

Did you forget about the Iraq war?

Began (3/19/03): 3493 died in combat, 4415 died total, wounded 31907 - Under Bush. 88/187 dead under Obama. It's rather disrespectful to forget the other fallen hero's.

Maybe Obama wouldn't have to be cleaning up the Afghan mess if Bush fought the proper war in the first place.

Goodbye Iraq: Last US combat brigade heads home

KHABARI CROSSING, Kuwait ? As their convoy reached the barbed wire at the border crossing out of Iraq on Wednesday, the soldiers whooped and cheered. Then they scrambled out of their stifling hot armored vehicles, unfurled an American flag and posed for group photos.

For these troops of the 4th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, it was a moment of relief fraught with symbolism. Seven years and five months after the U.S.-led invasion, the last American combat brigade was leaving Iraq, well ahead of President Barack Obama's Aug. 31 deadline for ending U.S. combat operations there.

And yes I'm sure if you did the same thing in a all white rural southern town you get the same results for McCain. In fact I KNOW this to be true. You point is blacks are stupid. Nice racism. Oh by the way explain PALIN supporters.

Keyword there is COMBAT.

TROOPS will still remain there, just as they remain in over 200 other countries...

Republican or Democrat in office that shit will never change... and what's worse is you all support the imperialism! What's even worse than that is we're flat broke and the military occupations around the world are running our country into the ground!

The heavy deaths focus around on the South, which is were "most of the people are" and across the border with Pakistan that is crossable. Some rather heavy spots, not anywhere close to the pipeline have had heavy deaths. Every Province (around 34) has a death other than 4. We aren't just around a pipeline or near poppies, we are in areas that can't support either.

And yes... I'm sure we are profiting from it, as we should be.

Those charts I saw in TIME magazine must have been a hoax then.

You're right DOC... the war in Afghanistan has nothing to do with oil. :error

lol, wow, I missed that line somehow...

You should run for public office, they would love the way you think.

The funniest part of that line is the word "WE."

Who exactly is it that you believe to be "WE?"

Are you and I, or the American people profiting from this war?

LMAO... hardly.....

It is my understanding that the pipeline...if and when it is built...will be a natural gas line...which is not oil.

Time Magazine had an image of the provinces broken down by deaths. Death reports tell which region/province the death happened in, not the exact location of the death. You saw the exact same thing I did.

It's not about Oil at all the pipeline is a natural gas pipeline. This isn't about money, this is about power and control over other nations that are a potential threat to America.

Building machines of war and all of the incidentals that it takes to wage war...from shit paper up...provides jobs to Americans...so yes...in that sense Americans are profiting from this war.

If and when it was built? Wtf are you talking about? Maybe you should hit up google or wikipedia and type in "TAPI."

Technically, yes, jobs are provided... but so what? A bunch of peons make $12 an hour while the military industrial complex takes home billions? Wow... that's definitely something we should all support.... :error

Yes, greatly... all over the place in more ways than I could ever list. You see the debt go up, but what you never see is anyone take the debt away when the war machine sells or companies make money from it, etc.

Yes...if and when...it is built. It is my understanding that it is still in the planning stage and has been since the mid 1990's.

To the best of my knowledge it has always been that companies make much larger profits than they pay their employees...in addition most large companies are owned by the collective individual via stock in the companies...even by me.
