Reviews on their youtube video are horrible. They'll still make a ton on it. One of the comments mentioned the company was just bought by ebay

They all suck and don't work worth a damn either.

i have the app. it totally sucks. don't even try to use it at costco. all their skus are proprietary to costco. you can use it in some places, but many chains now have their own skus straight from the manufacturer. i haven't gotten much use out of it to be honest. everything i scan comes back not found or avaialbe on amazon or some shit. if i wanted to buy online i wouldn't be in a fucking store scanning bar codes.

its a 4 on the scale of 10.

Yeah this is the biggest impediment to this being a really great idea, the database is just never going to be complete. It works well for me with national brands, especially a lot baby supplies, but it has a lot of really glaring omissions.

But if it did work a bit better or even if the handling of omissions was better it would be an affiliate sales gold mine.
