How many signups a day would you consider satisfying for a small program?
let's assume no trials - price range around $29.90 monthly
10 a day? 20 a day? 50 a day? not sure about today, but a few years ago i heard from bigger programs something between 2,000 and 3,500 signups a week - including trials |
depends what are the costs, no? then enough to meet you're desired return / profit margin.
other than that, as many as possible :) |
For a small program, per day, I think most would be shitting their panties with 10 per day.

With affiliates 20/day minimum, without 10/day minimum... absolute minimum to 'keep going'
anything less >>> gtfo |

We've looked to acquire a number of sites. And to be honest you'd be surprised how many sites are always around the 10/day mark. And this during the height of the industry.
That said it's all about what that site owner wants to make. Everything is hearsay in this business. A lot of bs floats around. I'm usually guilty of getting caught up and worrying about how we rank in the industry. But really it doesn't matter. As long as you are happy and meeting your targets (both short and long term) that's usually the most important thing. |

7 rebills per day at $25 = $175 per day Total = $350 per day * 30 = $10500 per month. A small operation should have no problem operating at a 50% profit margin. Hence $5000+ in net a month. |
Strive for 10 with good rebills.
Also do not forget the many other ways to monetize members. It's not all about the initial join or rebill. |

I'm looking to increase my daily joins.
If you want to sell me some of your traffic, hit me up now. |
ok cool math didnt know your daily signup rate had to match your daily rebills to tell if you are doing good or not

shap's math is solid, I have alway equated a signup a day to around $1k per month
|
add a signup a day, make a grand

Bigger programs should be doing 2000 joins a week easily. 500k unqiues/day at a join every 1000 is 500 joins a day 3500/week. Even at a ratio of 1/2000 its still 1750 a week.

2k joins a week is 285 joins a day most companies lucky to do 50 a day i bet

I love when people start throwing numbers around.

way too many factors to consider :2 cents:
someone living in some 3rd world country with low overhead and a site that rebills well could probably live well with just a few signups per day... :2 cents: |
so if bigger programs were doing 2000 to 3500 a week a few years back, whats the guesstimate now? half?
|
Glenn showed me his full NATS stats from Incredible Dollars a few years ago before they shit the bed... 2000-3000+ new sales a day, 5000+ rebills a day. I almost threw up in my mouth.
I think with smaller programs if you can get 10 solid a day, you will be OK. Though there are days where you simply get shit. |

If you want to put actual numbers on it. I don't think anyone would dispute any program doing over a $1,000,000 net a year is a big program. That's probably your best target. |
anyone asking this question should stop worrying about what people think about them. you should worry about if you're getting enough joins to give you what kind of money you need to live off of, not what other people think about how well you're doing.

Overhead is the big thing mentioned in the thread. Sites with exclusive shot content with multiple models and a regular update schedule require slightly more sales than other types to sustain. But again they should also make more in rebills for a longer period of time as long as they satisfy/oversatisfy members.
"Satisfying" is pretty subjective when accounting for living expenses around the world. Countless factors but for the fun of the thread a guesstimate would be 11.5 full sales a day after 6 months for a 1 man operation, 50/50 split with moderate production costs, design/programming/hosting and good rebills. |
