How to appraise the value of mainstream domains?
 

I have some good mainstream domains I'd like to put up for auction, but I've never had to appraise outside of adult. I can see the ballpark of what similar domains are going for at Snap Names and Afternic, but I'd hate to just throw darts at this, any tips or tools I can use to settle on a fair reserve?

How do you appraise the value of adult domains?

Ditto if you like - send to me and I can offer my opinion on value. There's not much science to it...a lot of it comes from experience with what sells at what price to who. Look at real estate appraisals, with houses and plots of land being far less unique than domains, yet still there's a need for human appraisers because algorithms simply can't take into account certain factors and different weight of factors for the particular case, etc.
