if they offer €8000 by themselves, I would definitely ask for at least 25% more and then take the money and invest elsewhere. If you don't plan on developing it, let someone else do it but make them pay you a realy good premium first.

Honestly, with IDN TLDs in the works, which is what I'd expect most of Asia to want to use once they're out, .asia will seem really stupid considering not a whole lot of Asia even uses the roman alphabet let alone speaks English.

You could certainly try to counter them, but a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. That's not a bad offer for that domain...I personally would take the money and run and invest it into more solid extensions. :)

I think it would still do well because of the branding possibilities. Also, traveling (flights especially) is a huge business. Seems like a top domain to me, but then again I never registered a .asia domain nor have I seen a sale so what the fuck do I know :1orglaugh
