$5 submissions/webmaster labor: my review.
 

last week i brought gene on-board to write the sales copy for my latest mainstream venture. I found myself thoroughly overwhelmed with all the data i've collected on the product and was not able to sort it out and present it in a concise and clear fashion that would lead a surfer to hit the buy button. i also have a ton of other items on my agenda as the launch date nears and decided to hand-off the responsibility.

i contacted $5 submissions and a few other copy writers for quotes, etc. the mainstream copy writers all sent me canned email replies that turned me off more than wanting more.

Gene contacted me with a personal email and inquiry into the product and what it was i was looking for. after several emails back and forth, I hired him to write ~600 words and he said it would take about 7 days. i sent him the hodge-podge of data i've brainstormed on the product and crossed my fingers.

i heard back from Gene in 4 days with a preliminary document and a request for feedback, i l liked what i saw and gave some more insight into the text.

he sent the final draft today and i must say i am blown away with how good it is.

done in 1/2 the time and exactly what i hoped for.

it was quite reasonable. i am not sure how gene determines prices on individual jobs so it's prolly best if i don't specify here. while i did provide him with a lot of my own brainstormed text, it was all over the place and it's also a product that is unique so he did have to figure out what the product is, what the goal is and present that in an informative way that leads peeps to the buy now button.

I have also used Gene @ WML and the work they did was excellent and done ahead of schedule as well. I will definitely be using him shortly for some new projects we're working on.
