Eight Generatives Better Than Free

1) Immediacy - Tubes are instant. Faster than torrents. Download speeds are so fast that just a few minutes is as instant as it gets in the event they want full HD video instead of a tube clip.

2) Personalization - Unless you are a solo model who is very personal with her members, this does not apply to the general porn site. Webcams kick ass here but they are also free now.

3) Interpretation - Doesn't apply.

4) Authenticity - A guy with his hard cock in his hand doesn't matter if the video he is watching is at Vivid.com or Tube8.com. A video is a video if it feeds his fantasy.

5) - Accessibility - Has potential. No idea how that would pan out, but it does have some potential.

6) Embodiment - See torrents. You can download everything there in full quality.

7) Patronage - Some still prefer to pay but this is dwindling fast, thanks to horrible sites and scams. A new generation has evolved where they believe everything should be free.

8) Findability - Considering most the torrents and tubes dominate the majority of search terms, good luck. However, if you can beat them, I agree with this one.

This is not only about free. This is about something that was stolen from you and then given away for free in the same place you're trying to sell the same thing.

If a potential customer can pay to download a video at Hustler.com (Authenticity) or can download the exact same video on Tube8.com (Immediacy) or download the HD version at ThePiratesBay.com (Embodiment), what do you think he will probably do? If he knows how, he is going to get it for free.

I'm starting to think some of you don't really grasp the magnitude of what is really taking place and what is coming next. This analogy was used to describe humans and alien life, but many of you are like ants living under a giant super-highway being built overhead, not even aware it is being built because it is so large and beyond anything you can understand. The shift that has just begun is literally going to be the end of most of you. Maybe me too. Comparing anything in the mainstream world to what is going on right now does not apply. The closet thing you have is the music industry and iTunes, but if a $1500+ scene is to be sold for $1 then that will also bring the end, which is now inevitable.

The big boys who have caused and continue to create this shift are going to phase you affiliates out. Without affiliates, the small and middle sized programs who can not feed their own sites will die. Even those of you who can today afford to ride it out, won't be able to do that for a long period of time. The point is, secure your traffic NOW because a storm of epic proportions is in the horizon and it's going to wipe almost all of you out. The storm is so big, you can't even see it coming and never will.

Interesting reading but a lot of the examples don't really compete with free for me.

Why are hosting, designers, programmers, producers and script creators not giving away their product for free?

Lets see if isprime or mojo will give us all free hosting. They can try to make money from us by offering data back ups, 24 hour support or giving us personal attention and custom boxes. I'm sure it would be a sustainable business model. :-(
