What podcasts do you follow?

I've been listening to more and more lately. Mostly they are things like BBC or NPR (which are often the same thing) documentary podcasts. I always listen to the Wittertainment film review podcast, the Now Show and lately been grabbing the Wait, Wait don't tell me podcast.

I'd like to explore some more of the good ones. Do you follow any podcasts and if so which ones?

Adam Carolla Show
Doug Loves Movies
Freak-a-nomics Podcast
Joe Rogan Experience
The Nerdist

Those are all really good podcasts...and really funny!

I must be out of it but have never even listened to a pod cast or know how to go about it.
I see a tab in my Itunes that says PodCast so at least I know where they will be stored if I find any:)

I keep seeing the Nerdist pop up in my suggestions. Perhaps I should give it a try.

I always get the Friday Night Comedy one too..like the Now Show better than the News Quiz but both are good. There wasn't a show from either of this week :(

While I will listen to different one's as they interest me, few simply have the staying power to have me tuning in regularly. Those I do, or make a point to, listen to are as follows.

BBC
NPR - All Things Considered/Fresh Air/Marketplace
Sin2.0
WMR

Sarah_Jayne 08-16-2010 09:07 AM

I should start listening to the Fresh Air one. I grew up with that being on in the car ever afternoon along with All Things Considered on the drive home from after school activities. If I still lived back home I am sure I would have my NPR tote bag.

Chris Hardwick is really a funny mother fucker. Hard to believe he was once the host of "Singled Out" on MTV...

martinsc 08-16-2010 11:52 AM

I never really got into the podcast thing... I guess I'll give it another try and try some of the mentioned podcasts :thumbsup

Forgot to mention the Weird Medicine podcast at http://www.doctorsteve.com/ is fucking hysterical and informative. They also play it on XM Radio on The Virus channel 202 on Saturday nights at midnight...

RadioLab from WNYC is awesome. Planet Money, This American Life, The Moth are a few of my faves.

Sometimes Fresh Air, depending on the guest, but I can't stand Terry Gross.
