Alex Jones... Fucking NUT or Passionate Genius?

Neither. Just an entertainer and businessman who people confuse with an actual intellectual.

Basically the Slap-Chop guy but he sells paranoia.

leg4 08-15-2010 10:55 PM

That's kind of my feeling also...

He's definitely a good market-eer

All these guys with huge followings are just self promoters IMHO.

Truth is, nobody ever listens to smart people. There is no way a truly intelligent person would have a huge following.

Or both :)

Instead of focusing on the positive aspects of Alex Jones' messages all everyone does is focus on the negative. What else is new... isn't that how it works with just about everything? Shed the negativity people...

StickyGreen 08-16-2010 12:45 AM

Instead of always shooting the messenger, why not focus on the actual MESSAGE? For some reason that just never seems to happen, unfortunately.

Man with bullhorn talks about Bilderberg Group.

Do the sheep start discussing Bilderberg Group?

Of course not, they start discussing man with bullhorn.

That pretty much sums up the stupidity.

Kiopa_Matt 08-16-2010 12:48 AM

An absolute nutter. You can't go off the deep-end with your life & world philosophies, then expect to be a rational & sane individual after 15 years.

StickyGreen 08-16-2010 12:55 AM

You sheep would defend the corrupt mainstream media to the fucking grave, but when a regular American tries to inform the public about real shit that is ignored by the mainstream media they are a "nutter."

Maybe Alex Jones' style is a bit unorthodox... but so fucking what? He's doing much better than Bill O'Reilly, Wolf Blitzer, or Campbell, or whichever fucking shill you all bow down to unconditionally.

couldn't have said it better myself.

i've listened to him a while ago for a few months and then realised he's just cashing in on fear and stupidity

if he stuck to issues 'of this world', ie, not talk about aliens i think he would come off as a lot more credible. I listen to his show sometimes and some of the things he talks about are interesting and alarming but he often goes off on some tangent and loses 70% of the audience doing so i'd imagine. i'm sure some people love that stuff but it just makes me think im listening to the rants of a crazy person sometimes.

bhutocracy 08-16-2010 06:32 AM

Businessman selling conspiracy stories based on strands of facts. Look at the way icke is no longer the turd in the punch bowl now he wants his marketshare. If you want a good laugh listen to his y2k broadcasts. He'll be saying the same shit in 20 years. I for one welcome our new scientific dictatorship - all hail our reptile overlords.

Pretty much it...except I find him not to be very entertaining.

Phoenix 08-16-2010 07:03 AM

yeah i dont like how he goes off on tangets where bigfoot married an alien and gave brith to elvis

but if he stuck to the real issues only...he might be dead by now

SmokeyTheBear 08-16-2010 08:24 AM

he is just out to make money like everyone else. In his mind he is a proffesional wrestler and he is putting on a show for us

_Richard_ 08-16-2010 09:13 AM

both i think, or simply a marketing genius

Christophe 08-16-2010 09:46 AM

You may not like the guy but he raises good points and expose important issues. Don't be spoon-fed though, make your researches and have your own opinion about the topics.

VikingMan 08-16-2010 12:27 PM

Alex Jones is a faker. He just leads people down the wrong path to deflect the blame onto the wrong criminals.

This is EXACTLY what he is trying to do. This is what he is paid to do. Get it now?

Dollarmansteve 08-16-2010 03:06 PM

he should start a religion.. he'd make scientology-level money.

He's as much mainstream media as anyone. It's so funny when pot calls kettle black - don't you see you're just a sheep of a different color? You subscribe to someone else's propaganda.. that's all.. doesn't make you any different then the slack jawed yocal watchin fox news, the suburban housewife watchin CNN or the old lady watchin' Dan Rather. You are just as much part of the 'problem' as anyone else.

Alex Jones is a sociopath. He tells ghost stories just like a crazy preacher talkin 'bout jeebus. You just happen to enjoy his flavour of kool-aid.

Martin 08-16-2010 03:16 PM

I like Jones because he's not a right winger racist like Beck and Bill O'Reilly etc. He doesn't by into the false right/left Paradigm.

PurrrsianPussyKat 08-16-2010 03:26 PM

Check out who funds alex jones.. and it's not "the people".

Well, he is against the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. He is against the Patriot Act. I am pretty sure he is for the legalization of drugs. Just sayin'...

He's a bit of a nutter, but that atleast gives his show some entertainment value.

When I first came across Alex Jones, I thought he was FLAT OUT BAT SHIT CRAZY!!

After spending months researching the stuff he talks about, I've come to see how devastatingly accurate he is.

none of that proves that he isn't right-wing

he's described himself as a Paleo-conservative many times. Paleoconservatism is a right-wing ideology. :thumbsup

alex jones is a bircher.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Birch_Society

alex jones shtick is using the bircher worldview to analyze current events.

read none dare call it conspiracy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Allen alex said it was a big influence on him as a teen. it is pretty much his worldview in a nutshell.

alex sounds fresh because his audience is too young to remember the birchers.

czarina 08-17-2010 08:12 AM
