It's too bad the moderation staff here isn't paying any attention, so they let sortie get banned but cambaby's offenses stick around.

A lot has do do with how you present your argument. Not everybody reads GFY in the order events occur. If one saw Sortie's thread first, which I did, I do find it offensive with a large image of hunged people. Then I don't really care for what reason you did it. The "he did it first" defense or the thought of universal, complete fairness, is for middle school children.
I'm not in any one way defending cambaby, who I think has earned his ban just as much as Sorties did as Brujah carefully points out. Had Sortie had an explanation to or made a question about "is this really ok?" I would maybe accept it, but to take some kind of justice into your own hands and think people will understand because of "this and that series of events", it's wrong.
And also, it was a Saturday night! It is reasonable to assume that the responsible person/persons were off for the weekend. Leave a message and let them handle things Monday morning.

That may be.... it seems like he took a page from Rush Limbaugh's strategy guide and decided to use the absurd to illustrate the absurd... it backfired and to be honest showing images of a lynching went too far
I'm in agreement...sortie may have gone overboard but it was in response to someone else going overboard. If they felt it necessary to ban sortie, they need to ban cambaby too.
