Either way, it's customer service. With customer service you get total assholes. He completely overreacted and I'm sure broke a plethora of FAA regulations. Jail time isn't right, but a fine or community service should be expected.

Overreaction, yes. However, employees are not robots and hence customers, along with management, who often treat them as crap shouldn't be surprised to push some over the edge. What's surprising is that more employees don't blow their tops.

Corporate masters, sadly including most small businesses, consider employees nothing more than a "resource" (they're not "Personnel" anymore, but "Human Resources") to be used up and then tossed away much akin to raw materials, office supplies, and toilet paper.

Employees at the airlines are among the worst treated of any profession. And longtimers have seen the changes firsthand - was a time when being a flight attendant was an interesting, rewarding job with great perks. Not anymore ... most are struggling to keep their job while their pay and benefits are slashed - many are earning less now than 10 or even 20 years ago! All the while, expected to do more and more with less and less respect.

In my view, Slater is a hero - made a public protest with style while not hurting anyone. Hope he finds another job, or if not, will likely collect disability while writing a book or something.

Most of those queer flight attendants have attitude up their ass. So many times I've seen some old fag walking around the plane playing mother fucking sheriff.. Always have that "Push the button and get killed" look on their faces.

I saw one attendant act like a total jerk because a passenger informed her
that there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. WTF!

Flight personnel have all these union rules to protect them from being fired and
this seems to encourage some of them to push it to the max.

I remember the days when people would put on their sunday best clothes and behaviour when they flew with an airline. Then, the airline would give you lots of gifts and cater to your every whim to thank you for choosing their airline.

Now it's fuck you fatty, sit down, fuck you overhead bags.. pay me, fuck you throw away your shampoo, and by the way, fuck you. Come again.

Fuck that guy. Airlines and airline employees treat travelers like shit, more of them should get called out on it.

I knew this guy was full of it. They can't even locate a single witness who saw what he claims to have happened and it's 3 days later.

In fact, passengers say he was pissy the entire flight, slamming the over head doors, slamming the fridge, slamming the ice bucket, rolling his eyes and acting like he was having a terrible day.

Maybe the story will change again and witnesses will come forward, but I'm still feeling like it was just a dick move.

He should of just told the bitch to sit down and when she didnt, contact the marshall/police. Instead he curses out the entire plane (kids on board?) and opens up the emergency slide (which could of killed someone on the ground if they were hit).

The guys is a liar, multiple witnesses are now saying he was acting like an ass the whole flight. Seems he may have been drunk on the job. Not one person has come forward to back up his story.

My sister was a flight attendant for over 30 years with Delta and even though she put up with huge amounts of crap, she was never rude to a passenger and never pulled any shit like this little crybaby.
