The single worst thing about taking a vacation
 

is trying to catch up when you get back! I swear I need another week just to be back where I started when I closed down my work mail before my break. I will probably be more tired than before I left by the time I am done! Did I miss anything 'good' in the last two or so weeks?

Of course, you can still type something while on vacation.
A lot of rooms have an Internet connection.
You missed some business discussion and photographs of fucking.

Never really been in a position where there was catching up to do as was always mad busy in the winter and slow in the summer so being off didn't matter.

Think all you've missed is everybody still loves Barefootsies and a thread about Aaliyah Love that went a bit mental (no links i'm not going to be blamed for wasting half your day)

Yeah but then it isn't an actual vacation if I am working. I work and travel several times a year too but there are times I need to just shut off from work.

Yeah it's good to properly get away from it all for a while (no internet connection), but you always have to start back at some point, and it takes a while to get back into the stride of things. Especially when there's quite a bit to catch up on.

I know what you are saying Sarah. I just back from a vacation myself and I have sooo much to do. I make a list and tackle one thing at a time so I don't get distracted.

When I take vacations, I always take a couple weeks off before, and a few after. Makes the vaca much nicer. :)

A week in Germany and then we had friends come to us in London for another week and I played tour guide.

I'm in the "I need a vacation to recover from my vacation" camp as well ;) Hope ya had a great time and welcome back :)
