Epoch Ez-clicks cross-sell
 

I'd like to hear from paysite operators about join page cross-sells... (now available with Epoch and Ibill)

Do you use? What has been your experience? Have you tried? If you haven't tried, why not? Any drawbacks that you've seen?

We started playing with the cross sells a few weeks ago and it seems to be doing quite well so far. Ibill hasn't got it down quite as well as Epoch... we've seen about 15-20% of Ibill purchases opting for the cross-sell and closer to 35% on Epoch. So far, only 3 out of several hundred transaction have been reversed.

Does no response mean no one else has tried this program yet or that you just don't care to share your experience?

Our initial results seem real positive, but a couple things that I have concerns about, but am unable to see difinitive answers to are:

Does offering the upsell (especially prechecked) piss some people and result in lost sales?

If I promote a cross sell to another company's site, I can earn some cash, but is there a significant risk that the add on sale makes it more likely that my site gets cancelled (ie, they may not want to continue two memberships, so the end up canceling mine and going with the add on.... or... because there were two sales they are even more concerned about the monthly bills they are piling up and just cancel both right away).

We haven't been testing it long enough to really see long term consequences and I think everything looks good, but these were some of the things I was hoping might get brought up in conversation.

We're experimenting with a few sites. It's not my intention to discuss that on the board at this time. I'm just looking for feedback and open discussion about the idea of join page cross sells.

Based on our retention, we hoping to move forward with $20 per $1 trial which seems competitive compared to what most are advertising on the ezclicksbuyers page at epoch.
