Looking for a good deal on an i7 laptop
 

Preferably under $1000. Anyone know of any awesome deals out there?

Ive got the acer aspire 5740 500gb 2.27ghz i5 of which I picked up pretty cheap, I would have thought you could shop about & find the i7 acer aspire under the $1000

Its a fast, nice looking machine... well worth it.

Well, I'm looking at an HP laptop right now. I'm worried about a ton of 'bloatware' though. Do the Acer's come preloaded with a lot of garbage?

I would personally go for the Acer as my mates got the hp & I the acer after IBM... The acer is more business or work orientated. Also, the exterior & keyboard design on the acer is far more superior. The flat keys are remarkable to use on the acer. The locking mechanism on the acer is better than the HP as if correct, the HP does not lock when closed.

Just my views, but I would recommend going into a shop before purchase to see for yourself :2 cents:

I usually only sell Lenovo and HP, but this is a very good cheaper alternative, that can stand the daily abuse of a fulltime worker

I took a look at the acer and i see "Intel HD Graphics" as graphic card. It doesn't seem to be a good graphic card.

My acer has the ATI Mobility graphics. I think you can find each model has different tech. My i5 has 500gb, yet most have 360gb harddrive when you look around on the sites.

@ Errooup, you say acer probably is best for fulltime work... plus the lockdown keyboard & the flat keys for easy use... :thumbsup

Dident say is was the best, I said it was the best cheaper alternative to Lenovo and HP :thumbsup

It's still the only other brand I would recommend to my clients, If they wanted something cheaper than HP or Lenovo.
