does that actually work? have bought some before and had zero results, and the sites normal average was 2 sales per 100 hits 20k traffic and zero sales.....

You need to test multiple resources. Did you try google adsense?

I don't agree with this comment at all. Affiliates will generate a huge amount of traffic for you with no effort or expense from yourself (other than a small rise in hosting costs) - they only get paid something if the traffic they send turns out to be good quality and converts. DEFINITELY do not cut out the affiliates. Bought traffic doesn't work for paysites - fact!
I think you have done well for your first month so keep going as you are and trust your instincts - if you're now working on the affiliate program and a better tour then you're on the right track - keep going with that!

We launched www.lilcandy.com and got 107 members in the first month. i'm told not to expect to much, is this good? Affiliate program is being worked on now and should be up within a week. then they will be working on a good tour.

I think you have done well for your first month so keep going as you are and trust your instincts - if you're now working on the affiliate program and a better tour then you're on the right track - keep going with that!

The only thing is quality targeted traffic ... Buying traffic is not a good idea in anycase.
