Who would be the best and easiest to use for credit card billing? A friend of mine is curious about this so I figured that I would ask here. Any info would be helpful. :)

Credit Card billing is a must. You can use other methods of course but you are missing out on the majority of your potential payments without it.

It is high risk of course so there are exaggerated fees to incur when setting up.

Perhaps late to make a mint, but based on the fact that late TV is still full of commercials for phone sex, people are still turning a profit.

In the 90s and early 2000s Don Laprie had the phone sex biz on lock down. You may remember his late night infomercial for his Making Money with Ads program. Since he went belly up in 01 I am sure it left a large gag in this biz so being 25 years to late is a bit wrong. There are a few really good billing companies out there for this type of billing (sadly i dont know there names but easily searchable) But like Deej said this is a HIGH risk biz for chargebacks, even more so then Porn. And charging by the minute can ad up in some huge chargebacks so the fees involved are very HIGH.

You're partly right.. I have nothing to do with it, but my girlfriend would be the "friend". I'm just trying to get her as much info as possible. :)

Well its pretty hard to be successful as a solo phone sex operator and might not be worth it as a solo enterprise when dealing with merchant accounts and what not. If she is interested in working for an already setup company thats been going for years, have her hit me up and Ill connect her with my girls :)

Oh I know it will not be an easy thing, but this is something she really wants so I'm trying to get her as much info as possible. She's been working for a company for a couple years. At first as a pso then later both pso and dispatcher. She's been talking about starting her own thing for years, but at this point she's much more serious about doing this. She doesn't expect it to make her a fortune and I make sure to tell her things that won't over inflate her expectations.

Either way, I just want to get as much useful info as possible and even though I won't actually be involved with the actual phone sex part I will still do whatever I can to help her. :) Which company is it that you're talking about?

With niteflirt you make your money off of your regulars.. I have about 15-20 guys who call everyday to once or twice a week, you are sort of doing the GFE thing over the phone with them..

That's exactly right. They made some VERY stupid decisions during the whole keen separation and from what I understand, they've never recovered.

Plus there are way to many girls on NF for a new one to actually make anything noticeable.

You used to be able to pay to feature your listings... so that would make it easier for a new girl to get started. Now you must rely on your click/conversion ratio to keep you on top. I have a mailing list of about 3000 I could/should be working that more.

I dont like to put all my eggs in one basket anymore... but you can only ever be the best at something if u focus yourself on that one thing...

I don't think that any business idea is bad. It's all on how you run it. Some people would start something like this and expect huge returns quickly which is why many would fail. Sure, the economy sucks, many people are jobless, but there is still money to be made. It will require more work, but it can be profitable.

For adult biz including phonesex, MP3, membership site fees or cam, Zombaio processses, they're in your sig.

CCBill processes, but if you want Visa and not just MC and Disc (plus JCB for int'l), you have to pay $750 annual Visa fee. Zombaio absorbs that fee for you.

There's also a processor who is promoting to audiotext providers - connectcollect.com - $397 set up fee and at least $49 p/m fee per month, all 4 major cc's. But I'm not sure they're using an adult merchant account because Amex began getting out of the adult "intangibles" like audiotext, so I think connectcollect might be using the "middleman model". Caller uploads money to connectcollect and then connectcollect pays the provider of the service. Not saying it's shady, just seems to be the way they do it.

Zombaio does not process for what's needed in this case.
