Any UK People Whose Bank Operates Faster Payments Do Me A Favour...

I just remembered that I have a couple of new direct debit payments coming out of a Barclays account tomorrow (Monday) and need to get some funds into this account before they are returned (about £80 needed).

I can send Paypal + the fees + a few extra quid as a thanks for your time.

Last time I paid cash in over the counter at Barclays it went straight on and was available in my account.

Hi ottopotto, thanks but I needed the payment in before the banking day officially begun (so bank > bank using the Faster Payment system) so to cover the direct debits.

I've had transfers between accounts take what seems to be a completely random amount of time. Sometimes instant, sometimes 4 days.

As long as payments are in by midday or 2pm the day of direct debits, there usually isnt a fee & the bank allows the transfer. :2 cents:

Correct at Natwest (they do a sweep at 14:30) but not at Barclays (to the best of my knowledge).

Does Barclays not do online? I would have thought an online setup with Barclays should work immediately also?

My Bank operates the faster service, money from my account to beneficiary account at another bank in less than 2 hours,
