Will Obama be a 4 year president?

Do you think Obama will be re-elected or did he come into such a pile of shit no matter what he does he will not win re-election?

I think that if the economy and unemployment are not greatly improved by 2012...he will be a one term President.

baddog 07-30-2010 12:42 PM

if he is lucky.

poncabare 07-30-2010 12:46 PM

no chance

DateDoc 07-30-2010 12:46 PM

Yes, 1 term. Would have been the same for McCain if he had won.

Sergio Payingsolutions 07-30-2010 12:50 PM

I don't think Obama is in a "anyone but him" scenario, no matter how much the Republicans are trying to set that up.

Vendzilla 07-30-2010 01:10 PM

depends, he may do like Clinton did and go with the new senate in nov

punkpred 07-30-2010 01:11 PM

If the republicans have as presidential nomenee Sarah Palin then yes he goes 2 terms

kane 07-30-2010 01:27 PM

I think it all depends on how the economy is looking in 2012, plus who the republicans end up running. He could be in trouble, but 2 years is a long time in politics.

Bill8 07-30-2010 01:48 PM

I don't care what he does or what the economy does, I won't vote for him again.

He's a rightist centrist, he's ignoring the fundamental problems with the country, and his primary loyalty is to the rich and the corporations.

This country is in desperate trouble, and needs a type of leadership it's not going to get. So we are all fucked.

I'd rather have the republicans in charge - at least with them you know they are going to stab america in the back and make up fake wars. They don't pretend to be anything but what they are, a pack of corporate buttboys.

cambaby 07-30-2010 02:09 PM

There is no way he gets elected again, look at Jimmy Carters career, very similar. Better suck it up people we are about to get another Reagan in 2012.

mountainmiester 07-30-2010 02:10 PM

Everyone seems to forget that he knew what he was getting in to and he had all the answers to change it. Remember when Hilary asked him if he had was just going to wave his magic wand and make it all go away?

If you promise something that you have no way of knowing whether or not you can deliver, you are simply lying.

"what a mess he inherited" would apply ONLY if he was just thrown into this with out any say. He knew, he committed and he promised the moon. Now that he cant deliver, he just gives one excuse and blame after another. At what point does the US call Bullshit? well, its seems like now is that point.

:2 cents:

PornMD 07-30-2010 02:16 PM

I say he came into a pile of shit and has done little else constructive but to fester that pile of shit and he'll still get 2 terms because he has charisma.

I think this country is far past the "good/bad" indicator. There's now horrible, bad, and not THAT bad. I just don't see career politicians stepping up to actually be a good president, and career politicians are the only ones with a chance to win the presidency these days.

HighEnergy 07-30-2010 09:14 PM

2 terms,

It's the "vote NO no matter what" idiots dragging him down.
Voters see that and it will end this Fall, he will be elected for the 2nd term.

Brent 3dSexCash 07-30-2010 09:16 PM

If Sarah Palin sticks around he has a good shot at 8. The Republicans need to get rid of her asap if they want to be taken seriously in 2012. :2 cents:

Agent 488 07-30-2010 09:20 PM

You say that as if Republicans aren't a dying breed.

The younger generations are much more liberal than their parents.

Each day more and more young people are old enough to vote.

Each day more and more conservative senior citizens die off.

Most importantly, each and every day Republicans do something extremely stupid to piss off the independent voters.

Obama is one smart cookie, I don't see him losing this race or even keeping it close.

Who the hell would Republicans even run? Ron Paul?

Republicans are NOT being taken seriously currently by the public at large. They are loosing ground daily and making enemies left and right. The "good ol' boys" are gonna hang themselves. The Grand Old Party ain't so grand to 'Joe 6pack' at the moment.

It will be interesting to see how the November elections play out.

I dont disagree with you but remember 47 percent of nation did vote for McCain..

If republican lose in Nov, might be final nail.

CynBabes 07-30-2010 09:51 PM

Bush won a second term, if he did, anyone can, unless they get David Petraeus to run.

We are 27 months out from the 2012 election and a lot can happen. We also don't know who the GOP is going to put up. Not to mention we may get 3rd party guy to muck things up for someone like Perot and Nader did. If look back at Reagan at this point in his 1st term he wasn't a shoo-in for re-election either. How'd that 1984 election turn out for him?

How many voted for McCain because Obama was black and supposedly Muslim?

Sabby 07-30-2010 11:51 PM

He is very charismatic. A Leo. Exceptional leadership skills.

Its iffy... the world is not due for a radical change... yet he doesnt fit.

Okay I predict America sits on the fence and he's re-elected.

Palin maybe. Bush or McCain, doubt it.

McCain was a good candidate for the Republicans but they still couldn't make it happen.

Disallusioned Dems will be looking at third party candidates that have principles like Nadar etc. If it fucks the vote up a Republican will be back in 2012 repealling all of Obama's "hard work".

Good joke. I LOL'd.

Ron Paul the ultra-neo-liberal idiot who thinks free markets will solve everything.

If you think corporatism is bad now, put Ron Paul in charge and it'll get worse.
If you think pollution is bad now, put Ron Paul in charge it'll get worse.

Ron Paul believes gold should be money. This idea is crazy in a capitalist society, there's not enough gold that's why the banks moved to fractional reserve.

Ron Paul wants to end social security, medicaid, medicare etc. No food stamps for the poor watch crime shoot through the roof.

His foreign policy is about the only thing that I agree with but even that is based on a floored argument. The only reason America has a huge advantage in the world today is that they strong arm developing nations and exploit them.

If Republicans can elicit enough fear and paranoia in the voting public, and effectively obfuscate their agenda - then Obama will serve 1 term. If Democrats can elicit even more fear and paranoia about the prospect of returning to the Republican agenda, then Obama will serve 2 terms. Either way, we're fucked.
