Do you think affiliate marketing is dead?
It's not.
The problem is not the business model, but the disproportionate number of programs relative to the number of affiliates out there. Affiliate marketing is too efficient and powerful to go out of style, and the adult biz, too sexy for webmaster types to ignore it. |

No, programs will always need affiliates.

I agree, it's all about the approach and effort put into it. If you come to the market with any cookie cutter site you're asking for problems.
|
Nah. You just have to be more creative, and target quality.
:2 cents: |
It's not dead, but it's not doing that well either.
It needs to change along with the sites we offer. The customers are turning away from buying. Until we reverse that trend both affiliates and sponsors will suffer. |

affiliates will always need programs. programs don't need you. |
of course, affiliates are the biggest problems, they demands high pps and they are sending you shitty traffic ... fuck them all, fuck me! :1orglaugh

How is .XXX coming? Can we get a cover story on how we can all kill it in December. I mean since there is no support in the industry except a very few scumbags that will fuck their mommas for 25 cent.

I think the days of people relying on affiliates are numbered... Programs with no internal traffic, affiliate reps, etc...
As for affiliates themselves, we are doing great. |
Of course not. :pimp

Ofcourse not.

Is not dead for sure. I just think is good to diversify. That's what I did when I moved some of my marketing efforts to promote Gambling!

No, people who are closing their programs are opportunists
crisis: let's close the program no more crisis: let's create a new brand and let's start again. The question was: how to make money? aka adapt or die :D |
We have seen a very noticeable upswing in our MPA3 affiliate program software sales this year from last. We were a bit surprised to see it as last year was a tad slow, so we do not see "all" these programs shutting doors as a sign of the times in terms of "affiliate marketing is dead". To the contrary.
That said, and I will not point to anyone specific out of the shut down programs, it seems that a good many of them have had other problems (banking, cross sells, "old fashioned sites/members areas, and so on) leading up to their demise. I also feel that the aggressive payout structure has a lot to do with the issues for many as well. Huge PPS will evidently lead to catastrophe if there is no way to pay for it on the backend (except for with aggressive cross sells). There are more factors at play here but these are just some of my thoughts about this subject. Innovation and smart and fair business will in the end pay off. There is still a LOT of affiliate business in our marketplace now and in the unforeseeable future. :2 cents: |
thanks bagdad bob...errrrrr .....oystein.
