What happened to my comments? [Wordpress]
 

I woke up today to find one of my sites completely wiped of hundreds of comments and the comment system no longer works. When you try to submit a comment you are directed to the 404 page.

Did someone try to hack my site and manage to wipe out the entire catalog of comments as well as breaking the commenting function? Anyone else experience this?

Did you update WP recently? Did you change anything on the theme recently? It seems your theme is not serving the comments template, i doubt it is a database issue. Did you check the database?

I think the problem was due to low disk space which caused the comment table to crash. Thank god for automatic database backups!
