Hotfile / Sharing Matrix Don't Respond to DMCA's?

We DMCA 1000's of links a day. Most of the companies take it down within 24 hrs ... which may be why more board posters have switched to Hotfile or Sharing Matrix, which we're having trouble with.
Hotfile removed our first group of links - and then no more.

Also does anybody know if these two companies allow you to simply download from a site link, directly to their server as I suspect that is happening (therefore you should block their IP's).

Anyone have information on above?
Anyone want to club together and hire the Expendables to ... make them expendable?

Where are they located? Corporate structure? Processing? Hosting?

jigg 07-27-2010 02:07 AM

go upstream
start hitting whoever is providing them bandwidth
processor for premium accounts etc

Notify their host and tell them that they don't comply with reported DMCA notices. If they don't do anything sue them too.

You can also contact Moniker (they provide the domain whois privacy for sharingmatrix) and demand to get their real contact info, allthough they maybe don't care without a court order.

They're definately a pain in the ass. Rapidshare & co too, of course, but at least they take down the stuff immediately.

Good Luck & Keep us posted

Good point!

Hotfile:
ebank2pay ( https://www.micropayment.de/?page=products-ebank2pay / https://www.micropayment.de/?page=service-impress )

SharingMatrix:
Plimus ( http://home.plimus.com/ecommerce/ & http://home.plimus.com/ecommerce/abo...ontact-us-help )

Both:
PayPal

I see they've masked their true DNS using EasyDNS, I believe that's a US registered company in Fort Lauderdale so you might have luck with them cooperating since they have to operate under US laws being HQed here

good luck in fighting this battle. I imagine it's hard work...

Yes.

They both have remote upload.

LongBG 07-27-2010 04:48 AM

Good luck with that.

I dont know about hotfile .....

But sharingmatrix took my content down soon after I sent an anonymous complaint (with links to my content) to paypal. paypal does not allow selling sexual downloads. you dont even need to mention anything about dmca or copyrights to paypal.

send your removal requests to the sharingmatrix or hotfile abuse department and mention you will contact paypal if they dont remove your shit. They will learn to promptly take down links if they value their paypal account.

Moniker will jump when someone complains, sending a threatening letter to the customer that they'll remove domain privacy if the issue isn't resolved within 5 days. No need for a court order, Moniker will suck the complainants cock without question.
