Anyone Else Have Problems With Feed Companies ???
 

OK I have a real dilema... wanted to add a feed company to our new sites... really wanted a set fee... as I was warned with the ones who bill per gig you never know if your getting ripped off...

Anyways we went with a company who at the moment will remain nameless... We are a new network of paysites with no more than 50 members as we are only just coming our of BETA...

In 6 days however we've managed to do 260 gig of bandwidth... the stats look crazy with days where there are thousands of clicks... thousands with only 50 odd members !

Also I am royally pissed as the members were only suppose to have access to Big Boob videos and our three biggest so called channels are Hardcore, Anal, and Milf !!!

Damn I am hopign I am reading this wrong... if not it basically means with the payment plan that each member so far as cost us around $6 in bandwidth, and will mean about $24 by the end of the month... hmmm way to lose money hey ! I was thinking each member might lose us $1 or $2 each... but this is crazy !

I have indeed sent them a message, but nothing back yet... Some may think I am getting ahead of myself, but thats why I havent named names...

I just want to see if other people have had this problem... it just doesnt make sense, the numbers do not add up...

We have around 50 members... apparerlently they have clicked 24,000 times... I am taking it by clicks this refers to clicking on the feeds... so thats 500 clicks each member... in 6 days ??? Crazy...

There are a couple of feed companies that offer daily bandwidth useage stats, but the problem is that you need real time stats. Finding out the next day is like shutting the barn door after the horse is out. I was using 2 feed companies in the same site, one was running about 20-25 gigs a month and the other was running 90-100 gig. The one with 25 gigs a month had daily stats, the other just told me how much I owed, I dumped that one when I figured they were just ripping me. If the feed companies cannot give you IP addresses or some way of monitoring your bandwidth, you might as well lose them. You will get hit with hackers like you have already and they can nail you for huge bandwidth, but you won't know it until the next day, but your feed company knows it when it is happening. It's not in their interests to let you know you're getting jacked.

I'm using one now that has good stats and is trying to get programmed for IP addresses and real time stats. Been using them for a couple of months now. I've been hit for a day or two of 26 gig days from scrappers. This company recognizes there is a problem and if they want to keep their business they need to try and help their clients keep bandwidth under control. After trying a bunch for quality and price I'd recommend Fresh DVD Feeds

Sadly we dont have dedicated BigTit feeds, Give me a shout if you need something setup for other niches.
I dont have realtime stats, but all reports refresh every 3 hours in your admin.
And traffic is only allowed from your servers IP's.

Hey Mate I might very much give you a shout... waiting to see what the company we're with says... I am guessing by the numbers you are quoting however 260 gig in 6 days is a lot lol... especially with only 50 members !

we have some nice feeds, we charge per gb, you would not be facing a large bill like that with us.

To burn 260 gig in 6 days means someone is using some kind of software to download as much content on your dime as they possibly can. It's not the 50 members you have to worry about, it's just a few that are doing this. You need to check your server logs and try to figure out what their Username or IP is and shut them down. Nobody can watch 43 gig of videos a day! You got 50 members, you might be burning 3-4 gig a day tops, more than likely, half that. Very few people lay back and watch hours and hours of porn without busting a nut in the first 20 minutes. LOL

Thanks guys we will take a look at things... still no news from the other company yet... I aint writing them off yet... it might be a mistake fingers crossed...

But even if it's resolved at some point we are looking for more feeds somewhere down the road ;)

Install something like strongbox. It looks like you probably have some password sharing on your hands.

We just spoke with the company and panic over... lol :) A combination of me being a noob when it comes to reading stats... and some issues they are also having (which are being taken care of) means I hit the PANIC button just a bit too soon :upsidedow

Anyways I appreciate everyones input in this thread, as I said being a noob I just wanted to get other peoples prospectives...

We are looking to have more feeds as we grow... and I will definetly take a look at all those who threw their hats in the ring, and be dropping emails to those who asked me to :thumbsup
