Kiva is an organization that lends money to poor people all around the world, to alleviate poverty. The money comes from regular people like you and I, who DO NOT make anything in exchange. In other words, they lend the money and they get their money back, but with NO interests. These are people who lend their money from the goodness of their hearts, without expecting anything in exchange.

It really suprises me that although the UK govenment is giving its population a real squeeze to make us pay for their mistakes, the amount given away to other countries will not be reduced.

Because the UK likes to look after everyone else, apart from it's own people.

We give money abroad, and we give money to people here who have come from abroad.

Congrats on that. The external debt of the USA is about 14 billion dollars (the money that all the Americans owe to the World). How much those "good ones" contribute to the "poor people" from that amount of money they owe? When you earn a buck and live for 10, I got to believe you can easily spent a few cents to charity :2 cents:

Probably 50% of the time my mom calls me, she bitches about Kiva, because my dad absolutely loves it. He thinks it's great, and drops loads of money on there. Pisses my mom off to no end.
