well since roy is my Friend, coach, training partner.. I will say this...

JDS is a great striker ... but have you ever seen him on the ground? :)

Roy is not to be messed with... you all forget that he is the last Heavyweight Champ of the IFL 3x he is by no means new to the sport.. Half the guys from TUF10 now train under roy :) in fact ill be over at Roy's later with Roy and Scott Junk getting my ass handed to me...

Roy has tons of experience.. the shitty part is only true mma fans know of him until he hit the UFC on TUF10...

Keep in mind Roy has beat many champions both in MMA and in Grappling ... he also grappled the shit out of frank mir when frank was holding the UFC belt during a grappling tourney ....

Roy is no joke a true black belt under Renzo .... there is nothing grappling wise you can throw at him he hasent seen... look I started training under Reylson Gracie who's father started BJJ and I learned more from roy in the year ive been training with him vs YEARS I trained elsewhere...

JDS on the other hand is a great striker.. he is undefeated ... Roy will have to get him down.. roy has great takedowns..

I was training today with Vitor Vianna (google him) he is wanderlei's training partners (bjj coach) and although JDS really has no grappling skills... he has great hips.. and great hips mean you can stuff takedowns ... roy has his hands cut out for him on this fight.. so does JDS... I got my money on Roy....


I think JDS is underestamating roy a little bit... but it will be a tougher fight than stevan struve for sure... I honestly think JDS stands a bigger threat to roy than Brock or Cain.... so we will see aug 7 .. watch for me on the pay per view :)

This is a tough fight to call. On the ground Roy will take it for sure. Standup, I have to give the advantage to JDS, but at the same time Roy's stand up is no joke.
