Why I use as much oil as I can
 

1. Buy and use lot's of oil.
2. Oil prices will rise due to increased demand.
3. Free market will funnel more money into alternative energy research due to rising oil prices.
4. ???
5. Utopia.

Some environmentalists argue that there's another way to achieve your goal--boost the price of gas artificially through per gallon taxes. Europe does this and I'm not sure if they are closer to the goal than the US.

I buy as much oil as I can too. I'm thinking that if I use more and more then the oilspill in the gulf will soon be none!

Because the oil I buy comes from there, right?
