Anyone paying attention to the Stagliano obscenity trial?

While the Max trial outcome was, to me, kinda obvious...I don't think this one is as cut and dry.

Wasn't aware of it

This morning, the judge threw out two counts of the indictment because the disc that the prosecution had copied a trailer to couldn't be played back reliably in court.

As the himself judge put it:

Quote:

"I trust this will be a valuable lesson to the government.... 'Good enough for government work' is not good enough."
Our tax dollars at work. Pretty awe inspiring, isn't it?

Obviously we're paying attention here at Evil Angel. We're very happy with this decision and are looking forward to (hopefully) having our boss and our company exonerated from the rest of the charges. This is such a waste of government resources and there is no compelling reason to think that anyone's interest is served by the government "protecting children" by stopping sexually explicit materials by and for adults. The arrogance of the U.S. government trying to regulate anything online is a joke since people can get whatever they want from servers overseas. Meanwhile, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that animal torture videos are protected, while sex isn't. That makes sense, doesn't it? I'd rather my children watch Jay Sin's enema movie than some sick fuck killing an animal...

what's strange to me is the way the case was built. in the max hardcore case he was charges for shipping obscenity to a hick county in FL. in the staglianno they just joined his site and downloaded the vids in DC to get a prosecution... that is very scary?

There's also a TON of mainstream movies that aren't appropriate for kids and are way worse than what's they're prosecuting him for...what a shame. Tax dollars wasted and all of it initiated by a bunch of right-wing Christian whackos. :(

Evil Angel being partner with us and promoted under FameDollars.com, we also are watching closely as this whole trial unfolds...

I especially like those parts quoted on Xbiz.com and AVN.com :

''Without the trailer as evidence, the government?s case against those two charges completely collapses. '' :thumbsup

When the evidences failed : "You've had a year and a half to get ready for this case," he thundered at Satterfield. "This is not an acceptable way to do business." - Judges says :upsidedow

This is good news for John and obviously we're staying supportive and positive on the outcome !

well the homos are working day and night to get straight porn production pushed out of California and Florida... so it's not like right-wing Christians are the only issue we face as an industry and as a culture... I read the funniest thing today about hiv.... it's a lifestyle disease just like 'lung cancer' and yet those with hiv are treated like medal of honor winners
