But that turned out to be the least of the neighborhood council's worries.

"GIRLS*GIRLS*GIRLS Anna Banana's," announced the headline of a classified ad in what appears to be a metropolitan newspaper. "Topless and Alcohol Club, 1010 (N.) Gaffey, San Pedro, South Bay's Finest Girls `VIP' Theme Rooms, Live Shower Shows, HBO-TV, Reality Show, Porn Stars Nightly."

It didn't take long for word to spread.

"We've worked very hard as a neighborhood council to try to beautify that part of the community," said Diana Nave, president of the Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council.
