Scumbag taking pictures of KIDS at beach :(

We just got back from the beach and while there, this older creepy guy was walking around taking pictures of women and KIDS, it was pretty obvious, then he goes and sits up at a picnic table and started taking pictures of the girls laying out in front of him.

Well, one of those girls noticed and went up and asked what he was doing and he said he just bought the camera and was trying to figure it out, she said "let me show you" and grabbed it and scrolled through the pics and seen all of the pics he took, like every girl at the beach he had, from younger to older. She held the camera and called the cops and once they got there, they claim they couldn't do anything about it, that even though it was creepy, he's allowed to take pictures as he pleases, even if it's KIDS. It's like WTF ?? so the cop just made him dump his card and let him go. I was shocked, but I suppose there's not much they could do.

StinkyPink 07-13-2010 04:07 PM

That is fucked up...

They made the guy dump his card. I would be pissed. Took all those pics for nothing.

kane 07-13-2010 04:09 PM

It is fucked up. A few months ago my brother was at his youngest daughters softball game. It is a starter team so all the girls are 6-8 years old. Most of the games just have family and friends at them. One game had some dude show up and sit by his truck with a camera and snap a bunch of pictures. I guess some of the parents went over to see what he was doing and he claimed he was taking pictures for the newspaper, but had no ID and no proof. When they asked to see the pictures he just left.

Pretty creepy.

CYF 07-13-2010 04:10 PM

disgusting, but I don't think it's illegal here either.

Hopefully having the girl call him out and the cops come will make him think twice next time.

area51 - BANNED FOR LIFE 07-13-2010 04:12 PM

It's a public place, creepy yes.

Pretty creepy.

A couple of years ago we had a guy filming the high school swimming teams in the local area. No kids, knew none of the swimmers, just showed up and filmed them.

Overload 07-13-2010 04:21 PM

not legal in germany afaik ... one has the right to refuse being photographed without permission - even in public places - 'cept if you make a shot of a lets say church and hundreds of people in front of it ...

The Heron 07-13-2010 04:22 PM

Over React ?!?!? The guy was there BY HIMSELF and I saw him snapping pics towards the girls, there's a short dock and while i was out there, 3 young teens came out and he was snapping towards us to get the girls, and it wasn't just me because one of the girls that grabbed the camera SAW ALL of the pics on the card when the cop got there, she said there were girls of ALL ages, even little kids playing in the sand, one girl there was like 40 shots of that was like 13. Yeah, that's just him taking pictures.

cam_girls 07-13-2010 05:10 PM

Put a sign up if no cameras are allowed.

Ha ha, yep, that's the way to do it, bring it on here. If I would've saw a picture of my 8 year old daughter on there, the guy would be in the hospital.

You don't find a man taking pictures exclusively of young girls in bikinis a bit creepy? Really?

They made him dump his card? They didn't make him.

Lawfully, he did nothing wrong.

Cue Ron Gallela and many other paparazzi.

So every time your daughter posts her pics on Facebook you put someone in the hospital? Come on I think you have some kind of subliminal fear or fetish or something to be thinking this kind of shit is perverted or creepy?

Ecchi22 07-13-2010 05:17 PM

If you can see something, whats the difference with taking pictures for yourself?

What if he has super memory and he memorize what he see in his brain, so he don't even need the cam :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

I really hate guys like him, but whatever, he didn't done anything wrong if he was just taking photos :winkwink:

cam_girls 07-13-2010 05:17 PM

Do you have pictures of your own 8 yo daughter?

CREEP!

Jon Oso 07-13-2010 05:20 PM

I guess it really depends on WHAT the pictures were of, specifically. If they were framed shots of people walking around on the beach, not really a big deal.

However, if they were close-up pictures of certain body parts... it's creepy but it's still not illegal.

If you were that upset about it, you should have gone up to him and dealt with it yourself, not let some random chick do it.

And if the guy was REALLY creeping on these chicks, I doubt he would have handed his camera over to let someone show him how to use it.

wdsguy 07-13-2010 05:22 PM

this thread is retarded

Excuse you, but the OP is a man's man and he could put the subject in the hospital on cue.

How dare you insinuate he's a bitch and a keyboard warrior! ;)

No shit, I have a photographic memory, when I see something once it's there until I just plain forget about it. It's super helpful when I can't remember where I put my car keys :1orglaugh

Somebody better warn the guy taking school pictures this year... he's in for a hospital visit, no doubt!

Although I wasn't insinuating anything, I'm sure if the guy thought it was a big deal at the time he'd have said something. Most any dad worth a shit would.

I think what happened was he saw it from a distance, or heard about the story from other beachgoers later, and it was one of those "Well if I had been there at that second I would have put a whooping on that there gentleman!" types of situations.

Penthouse Tony 07-13-2010 05:32 PM

It is creepy but no way should it be illegal.

CashOnClick 07-13-2010 05:40 PM

In the Uk it is illegal to take any pictures of minors without the parents consent, and that even extends to taking a shot of the landscape and a minor just happens to be in it, if the parent noticed and you refuse to delete the picture they can make a citizens arrest and call the cops and they will make you delete it or charge you...

Legally I am not allowed to take a picture of my own grandson when I take him to the swings and climbing frames not without first having my daughters consent !

The law is overkill yes, but it is common sense that will show who the perverts are after looking at the pictures...

Even Schools now need written consent from the parents to take a year or class photo...

Sitting on a park bench
eyeing little girls with bad intent.
Snot running down his nose
greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.
Drying in the cold sun
Watching as the frilly panties run.
Feeling like a dead duck
spitting out pieces of his broken luck.

colin farrell 07-13-2010 07:06 PM

what grounds did they have to make him dump the card?

no law against what he was doing.

creepy yes. shady.

but the cops have no basis or legal standing to make him delete a card if it is in fact in a public place.

JustDaveXxx 07-13-2010 07:37 PM

I took this pic when i took my 2 1/2 year old to the park.

This sign is pretty cool and pretty disturbing at the same time.

Do we really need signs like this at the park? I guess so..

A kind of similar thing happened to me just the other day. I was giving one of my guys a ride home cause her car is kinda bonkers atm and going through her neighborhood saw a guy taking pics of a building from across the street, when he saw the car coming he booked. Very sketchy.

On the way back I made it a point to drive by where he was taking pics again to see what he was taking pics of since he was being such a creeper about it, and no shit- it was a daycare center playground. No kids in it, I take her home after 6pm, but it just sits as odd.

Maybe when I give her a ride tomorrow I'll take down the name of the place and give them a call, just to let them know to keep an extra eye open.

JustDaveXxx 07-13-2010 07:53 PM

Here is another pic to give you more of an idea where it was. It was right in the middle of the sand box, play area.

"Bla bla it's a public beach I can can bla bla do what I want..."

"Maybe I didn't say it right, let me try again. You're creeping everyone out, so get your ass moving or I'll take the camera and shove it up your ass for you. Trust me, it'll be a lot harder to walk back to wherever it is you came from and you'll look a lot stupider to boot.

Any clearer?"

My wife noticed two guys sitting in a car near the beach taking photos of some very young girls in the beach shower. She went over and kicked a big bent into the door or the car, started screaming at them and they tossed the camera in the back and took off. Wish I was there to beat the shit out of them!

Creepy guys like that are the reason that I get weird looks when I'm trying to take photos of my daughter having fun.

And for those wondering what's wrong with taking pics of young girls in bikinis - with high res sensors and telephoto lenses they can zoom in on particular areas. A guy walking past or even standing there staring at them wouldn't get that kind of view.
