Without having watched the episode, I have had enough experience with MLM's to know a few things about them. "Some" people can make money from them and can make a LOT of money. You have to be VERY outgoing, be fearless, buy into your "product" (<- term used lightly) and be highly motivated and can handle rejection very well. You also need to know a ton of people and you need to be basically a walking infomercial selling people on whatever it is they are looking for (million dollar house, retirement, supplement their income, financial freedom, working for themselves, etc.) If they are good they will regurgitate themselves onto you, and you will buy into the "product" walk away aggravating everyone you know about how good it is, and when you don't make shit you will still continue to pay for said "product" for several months or years before you wise up.
If you can show all of the character traits above, and you get in early, then you have a decent chance of making money from MLMs. BUt you will also burn a lot of contacts and when you are done and very few people made money except for you, you wont have many friends left. BUT, the next MLM that comes along you will be sure to call up all of the suckers that you sold the first time around to see if they will fall for the hype and jazz again.
