Corn Season is starting .........

Who loves their corn on the cob? What's your favorite way of eating it ? Boiled, bbq'd soaked with butter and salt ? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:thumbsup

BV 07-13-2010 09:25 AM

We just roasted some yesterday.

fatfoo 07-13-2010 09:25 AM

Outside on green grass with geese eating the leftovers.

Evil Chris 07-13-2010 09:26 AM

boiled of course.... with lot's of butter and salt.

Cyandin 07-13-2010 09:26 AM

I like to, when driving out in the country, pull over next to a cornfield and go running through it, in hopes that either Malachi or the aliens from "Signs" will show up. :upsidedow

alexchechs 07-13-2010 09:28 AM

I do a chipotle and ancho chili spice rub that I put on with butter and then grill it and after the grill sprinkle Cojita cheese on it and some lime... YUMMY!

Honez 07-13-2010 09:28 AM

We leave the husks on and soak the ears in salt water. Then pull the husks back, clear out the silks and add lots of seasoned butter. Pull the husks back over the ears, wrap in foil and toss on the grill. Mmmmmm

I just blanch them, hate it when people cook the living daylights out of them. Had some last night, it was ok, Ontario corn is not quite there yet. My favorite is Peaches and Cream:thumbsup

fuzebox 07-13-2010 09:30 AM

I've always wanted to try grilling it...

candyflip 07-13-2010 09:31 AM

I don't care how it's cooked, so long as it's covered in Butter and Mrs. Dash

Spudstr 07-13-2010 09:32 AM

peel back the husks, drown in butter and some parpreka and grill for an hour.

punker barbie 07-13-2010 09:51 AM

i like to grill them & cut off the kernels add to skillet with onion tomato zucchini with a dash of salt and pepper! delicious :P

That sounds real good. Can't have a grill in my condo unfortunately. Can't wait for corn to get down this way. Boil, butter and sea salt. Had friends in Wisconsin, corn was the best I ever ate.

Jman 07-13-2010 10:27 AM

Boiled Corn and fresh picked strawberries for dessert.... That's a Nice Lunch ;-)

alias 07-13-2010 10:34 AM

Fuck yeah, boiled/steamed no salt or butter. Has to be very fresh though.

Get yourself an electric indoor grill. I one I use when the weather is too nasty outside and it works pretty good. :)

I like this method too. If you are gonna grill it you want to get some grill marks on it. If not you might has well just thrown it in the broiler.

PersianKitty 07-13-2010 12:48 PM

lightly boiled..and often then put on the grill for just a bit.. And we've had some really sweet corn so far this year.

Monique Niccole 07-13-2010 01:28 PM

I've already started eating it this season. I have it about once a week and I love it boiled with lots of butter and salt.

Amputate Your Head 07-13-2010 01:31 PM

The town here just had their big Corn Festivus or whatever... the Cornival. We were gonna go check it out, but forgot about it.

Boiled is so 90's. Microwave it wrapped in wax paper with a few layers of husk left on.
