OPEN LETTER TO ALL PRODUCERS AND ALL AFFILIATES OF THE ADULT BUSINESS.
THE ALARM BELLS ARE RINGING


THE ADULT BUSINESS IS IN DANGER OF COLLAPSING, THIS IS NOT BECAUSE OF THE CRISIS!


I am Denys Defrancesco the CEO of ddfprod.com. I am sounding the alarm bells before its too late, as in less than two years our businesses will be dead because of who? Because of what?
It is our fault, we have created the largest freely available pornographic content on the planet, so why pay to see our content?
For 12 years I have created promotion material there are free galleries, porn tubes, exchanging content with the 'share' sites , Google or Yahoo groups etc. .. Because everyone wants to put more and more free content on their websites, we are currently killing the goose that lays golden egg. By giving our surfers uncensored content we've created the largest free site of all time. Put end to end to giving it away on free sites, all free galleries, all trailers? online, can you imagine the amounts that are out there.


CHANGE YOUR HABITS IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE TO EARN YOUR LIFE IN THE ADULT INDUSTRY- AND MAKE MONEY AGAIN!


We could fix this with a little discipline, believe me, and start to censor your free galleries, restore the desire to see more by accessing the member?s area of your sites.
The golden age could return and there is enough space for everyone, lets clean up the Net together. I am aware that this will not happen overnight but I everybody?s responsibility to begin to censor their new galleries (put only soft content), not give away hardcore content for free anymore, and reduce the archives of your free sites. BELIEVE me you will not lose your traffic, you'll just boost your income.

So what does this mean in practice?

Our new galleries have been softcore for a while, with the explicit & hardcore parts censored. The aim is to lure visitors into joining if they want to see explicit content, and to raise the number of sales. If you just add our free galleries and trailers from DDFCASH, you don't need to change anything.

If you have special permission from us, and have been creating your own photo/video galleries, all newly content added must be softcore. Penis and pussy on pictures and videos has to be censored. This is an important issue for us, and no exceptions will be made.

This sounds like an excellent plan. The truth of the matter is, how can you enforce it? How can you be sure that everybody else will follow suit? The fact is, they won't.

It amazes me how people think they can go back "to the old ways" and be successful again. The game has changed and if you don't keep moving forward you're going to fall flat on your face...

What gets me are the ones who justify no longer giving out content to affiliates or content that is crippled in some way while at the same time completely giving a pass to pirate tube sites or forums. I've even heard of some operating their own tubes and doing this.

The days of people banding together to accomplish anything in this business are long gone.

I really wish penis or vagina were the only problem here. I remember the days when TGP galleries had HR pictures, explicit obviously and we were still making lots of sales. Today people instead of paysites subscribe tube channels and they don't go any further from there.

What the OP said makes perfect sense to me and they should be applauded for taking a step in the right direction. They may fail on their own but imagine what would happen if everyone took their approach.

So, all of the people who have spent countless hours adapting to the new trend, creating new sites, finding new ways to monetize traffic. They should stop what they are doing and try out the method from the guy who is says he will be out of business in two years. Sounds like great idea.

Hasn't we already tried the whole concept and failed with TGP2? I don't see how it gets working this time around. We all wish it will be that easy. But things changed. Move on.

That's always the problem. Controlled markets don't work. Free competition might lead to a faster solution.

Look up PRISONER'S DILEMMA. That's always been the problem with online content.

Far far far too late, as long as content and members areas are viewable there will be people collecting it and spreading it for free online.

Don't forget the global financial crisis we are all in right now, people love to blame the tubes and free content everywhere for the lack of sales, but I'm sure the fact that no one has cash to pay for things like porn is the bigger factor.

this reminds me of my university days. i was in an intense architecture program and we had a civil/structures class. The prof said the tests would be open book all the time, you didnt have to come to class but it would help. The tests would be long enough where most people wouldnt finish however we would get marked on a curve. So top percentile could end up with 125% out of 100.

For pictures you could try a flash reader based on encrypted picture (and not a flash file that calls a normal picture elsewhere, since you can monitor you connection).

Java applets are also a solution
