everybody yells about tubes killing their sales, but lets have a look at what sponsors do ... serious, didnt you notice they all cater to tube content? some totally "forget" about affiliates with (some big, some small) "old school" sites - in this case MGPs ... all they add to their promo content is STREAMING shit!!! before i fall for this "tube snake boogie" i quit promoting them! FUCK YOU idiotic sponsors offering only streams! YOU narrow down who promotes you by slacking in offering various formats! you DESERVE to go down! :mad: i dont name them, you will get it anyways :winkwink:

there are some great sponsors out there still. Another issue is the amount of affiliates that will only push sponsors paying $45 PPS for crap sites that we all know don't retain.

The whole industry is transitioning. So instead of calling out the bad ones why not look for some of the truly good ones out there.

The easiest way to start is to look beyond the PPS and at the actually product you are promoting second tier.

people dont want their content all over the internet. streaming locks it down and deters dirty affiliates. you may not be one, but there are tons.

A lot of old time affiliates that had medium to small traffic have folded but these affiliates
used to collectively send a good amount of sign ups. With all those affiliates gone, did
they really have a choice in changing?

err, maybe those affiliates folded BECAUSE their sponsors seized providing suitable content for the affiliates sites? :warning

I don't like tubes anymore than the next guy but hey, that's where the traffic is. It's like the hot girls are on the left, the ugly on the right, and you are on the right complaining there are no hot chicks. Try the left.
We still do our best to provide all our affiliates with what they need. Alot of man hours goes into that process, and you are right. Many affiliates did 1-3 joins a day, but there were tons. They were wiped out by tubes/forums.

This begs the question: if you don't want content that will garner eyes (read: streaming and/or visually compelling) as promotional tools, what do you want from a sponsor?

You want galleries for MGPs, it looks like.

The data demonstrates that a significant number of users access adult materials through broadband or high-speed wireless connections - and those numbers are growing. Those users are drawn towards content they can sample. Much like music: If I have never heard a song from an album, I am unlikely to buy it.

So I ask: what is it that you really want from sponsors to help move your individual business and the industry as a whole forward?

good example would be galleries with streaming content that can actually be scanned by the various tgp software out there and can be made into a thumbnail. a simple hidden div with four thumbs linked to bogus wmv files will do the trick, that way the old school mgp webmaster can also enjoy the benefits of the new school way of content delivery ;)

btw liz on aebn im not able to make any decent export files for the hosted galleries in a few niches, when i do a normal view online export it works, but when i want a pipe delimited list it give me zero results.

We cater for the old school webmaster and TGP / MGP sites and our galleries work with TGPX and others just fine, we have 11,900+ MGP galleries and 8,600+ TGP galleries, that was at my last count there is about 120 new ones of each getting added every Monday also !
