Dyson Fan?
They look cool don't they? I think I want one.
http://images.bestbuy.com/BestBuy_US...9711629_sb.jpg Cool down with this bladeless table fan that features Air Multiplier technology that generates smooth, constant airflow and draws air in and amplifies it 15 times for powerful results. The touch-tilt feature allows for pivoting movement without clamping. |
Looks like some kind of portal to another dimension.
|
Nice, thought they are just selling vacuum cleaner.
|
I bought one and it worked quite nicely, but I couldn't justify the $300 price tag...so I boxed it back up and returned it. $100, it would be worth it.
I love my Dyson vacuums though. Yes, I have two at home and one in storage from my shop. |
Is that a real thing?
I like the Vornado fans. They blast a tight "beam" of gale force wind. |
$300?!?!? hell no! Plus I like the sound of a fan, so I couldn't have one that is so quiet.
|
I'd so put my balls in it after a shower

Holy shit. Do yourself a favor. Spend $40 on a small Vornado. If you havent used one, you just dont know.
|
That is the first time I have seen financing offered on a fan.
|
My $15 dollar fan from Ace Hardware works just fine.

I have a Dyson Vacuum and like it so much that I've taken over the vacuuming duties at home.
Dyson also makes hand dryers for public bathrooms. I've seen them in only 2 places here in Montreal but I hope they'll catch on. You basically point your hands straight down into this U-shaped thing and BLAM! Instant dry. It's super quiet too - much better than the noisemakers usually found in most restaurant bathrooms. |
I checked one out and they are pretty cool, but not really worth the $$$ in my opinin.:2 cents:
|
I only buy fans for the noise so I can sleep
|
I love the Dyson hand dryers you get nowadays in washrooms. I swear I am getting one in my new house.

Here's a decent review on it. We have a vacuum. LOVE IT! We'll pass on the $300 desk fan though.
|
The guy in the review says it all.
If you want to look cool and spend $300, then by all means...go for it. |
Great concept, but not for $300.
Next year it will probably be $150... then maybe half that in 2 years, and suddenly it's a realistic option. For now, you can get WAY more wind from a fan for $19.99 - or way more cool, from a decent air conditioner for $199. |

That's pretty much what is inside the base of the unit, a small power supply and a fan...you can see the venting if you look closely. |

Looks pretty interesting :)
|
For $300 it better do something more than just blow :winkwink:
|
Maybe it's because of where I grew up but fans were always what poor people used in the summertime because they couldn't afford an air conditioner. BTW, my house always had fans growing up..lol.
But my point is, if you can spend $300 on a gimmicky fan, you can probably afford air conditioning and probably don't need a fan. |

I saw one in the store the other day. It looked cool (no pun intended) but it was seriously expensive.
I agree by the way that their hand dryers in public bathrooms over here are great fun. Also have used the vacuum for over 5 years now and wouldn't have another brand. |
Looks pretty cool.
