Then he can spunk as much money as he wants on whores and viagra without those pesky shareholders suggesting he shouldn't.

I know a bunch of guys who were in talks about buying the company about a year ago but I don't believe they did in the end. Point being Hef was trying to sell the company back then so it does surprise me unless he's doing it to sell.

There is big money to be made taking a public company private for a few years and then taking it public again.

he says he has no intentions of merging or selling the company

he owns like 69% of the A stock and 20+% of the B

so he does have the power to make desicions there

Maybe he wants the sell all his stocks Playboy and uses this strategy to get the stocks up again.
