NTP Sues Google, Apple, Microsoft And More!
 

Blimey everybody is sueing somebody these days Who are you gonna sue ?

NTP, the patent holding company best known for developing wireless email, has filed lawsuits against Apple, Google, HTC, LG, Microsoft and Motorola, for infringing on eight of its patents related to the delivery of electronic mail over wireless communications systems.

Donald-Stout-NTP.jpg Donald E. Stout, NTP's co-founder, said, "Use of NTP's intellectual property without a license is just plain unfair to NTP and its licensees. Unfortunately, litigation is our only means of ensuring the inventor of the fundamental technology on which wireless email is based, Tom Campana, and NTP shareholders are recognized, and are fairly and reasonably compensated for their innovative work and investment. We took the necessary action to protect our intellectual property."

It's all about the Settlement, baby.

Pity they can't collect as much with the new laws in place restricting the awards of patent holders with none use.

Wonder how much they are demanding as a licence fee?

Everyone is broke, this is what happens.

It's well past time to revamp the whole patent system. The current system stifles innovation crushes the "little guy".

How did they invent wireless email lol unless the invented wireless internet ?? Fucking stupid there is no wireless email.

I invented email back in a computer class when i was in 7th grade lol as a way to send notes around the class but forgot the teacher would see everything on the intranet server :D He didnt get mad tho just told me to work on my own project and skip the bs we had been asigned :) Wish i still knew how to code damn those were the days.. wonder if he sold the right to my email script lol :D
