Man that corner kick by Forlan was great, 1 foot lower and that thing would have curved into the goal.

yes i know they are playing for 3rd place, but what the hell its a good game so far.

Probably because most people on here don't even know you get a 3rd placed game and are waiting for the final tomorrow... :winkwink:

I would agree with that sentiment, as well as the Uruguay-Netherlands game. Some of the best in the whole series i think.

Best goal of the game was Forlan's, that was absolutely killer. One of the best of the tournament as well.

Germany's 2nd goal to tie it up at 2-2 was excellent as well.

Forlan's free kick off the crossbar at the end was stunning.

that corner kick he curved in was amazing, so close but no cigar.

Indeed. A foot and a half lower trajectory and he's have scored an ace from the corner.

This was one of those games. I was really hoping Uruguay would tie it up. I would have very much liked to see these two teams go at it in OT.

just came home from watching the game - really excellent game considering it was "only" for 3rd place. congrats to "my" german team and hats off to Uruguay for being a worthy opponent! :thumbsup
