Fatfoo can probably write, but for the prices he works for... Well, you get what you pay for. I actually work for similar or even the same money when it comes to blog posts, because people in Adult have tons of very, very cheap writers to chose from, all of whom are severely short changing themselves. Adult, I'm ususally making $0.01 per word, which is fine because I can type about 90 words a minute at full speed, but it's still way to cheap for good writing.
The cheapest I go with mainstream stuff is $0.04 per word. People in mainstream understand the concept that price = quality of final article. They also understand that you have to spend money to make money. There's a tend in adult to try to pay nearly nothing for writing. Hence you get people who can't speak or write English coming in and shitting it up for the people who can speak and write English. If I didn't have to price my adult stuff at the "going rate" of shitty writers who can barely formulate a proper sentance, I wouldn't have to work so hard. Except I don't have to work hard with adult stuff, because most of my writing comes from mainstream.
I guess you could say adult writing is the hobby, mainstream is the work.
PS: Shitty writing does nothing for a site. Google's algorithms are pretty damn smart these days. |
