If you know who you are dealing with it does work yes.
But man i wouldent want to just take anyone in on a deal like that not to mention that if i dident know them myself they would need golden refrences to people that i do know. |
Yeah very good idea :winkwink:
|
well it would be defend on what strategy u where implementing!!!!!
|
i dont understand why someone would do this ... if you can send nice amount of joins, i believe you have enough money so you dont need any prepaid joins. smells just fishy to me, unless it is a friends help ... :2 cents:

I've sent joins under prepaid deals before and I'd never do it again. You end up losing money in the long run as an affiliate. Works well for the program owners though.

As a sponsor, the person better have good references or be someone I know and trust.
|
I have to say I agree with the most of the replies. It would only be a good idea with someone you know well or has a sterling reputation in the industry

for quick cash? Still, some people are in that situation for whatever reason. I'd probably prepay for just a very few joins, then if those come in on time pay for 50% more, buying more each time that last transaction works out well. To trusted parties only, yes.

You need to know the person you prepay, some of the problems I have encountered are in regards to join delivery... Most people that say they can deliver x amount of joins in 1 month always never make their own deadlines.
With that said we do have several relationships doing prepay but these affiliates have convinced us of their loyalty and capabilities ;-) |

I have a couple prepay deals going down right now and they sort of worked out like this.
Sent sales everyday to Company X for several months, notice the conversions were superior then other sites I was pushing in that niche. Approached owner with my account name, told them I'd give them more dominant spots on the sites, and push a little more if they were willing to prepay for 100-200 sales. I don't worry about conversions and tweaking so much on those sites/niches, they get a slightly enhanced level of traffic and joins and everyone's happy. There has been periods where the sales take a little longer to come in, but they still come in and after a couple years of doing it, there is a fairly good level of trust developed. Advice on both ends of it, as an affiliate, never do one of these deals unless you can back up the sales as specified, even do a test run of a month to determine how fast the sales can come in. As a sponsor, don't spend any money you can't afford to wait for (possibly lose), the more you know your webmaster you're doing it with the better it will turn out for you. A lot of people will just say DON'T do it, but again, if you know the webmaster and are getting traffic from him,/her its a good tool to get MORE from him/her |
It's a great idea if you are the one getting paid early.
