What is your preferred method of disguising affiliate links / hiding referrer details?
I wish to hide my traffic sources from a sponsor. What's the best way to do it?
You can use places like bit.ly to rewrite the URL on the fly, but is that reliable? Better to link to your own page which then redirects? Some ad networks disallow both methods. What's your preferred method? For those who don't understand the reasons why I'd want to, please stay out of this thread. And yes, the traffic is all above board. |
DMR - Double meta refresh... a simple PHP script can do that (see > http://goo.gl/9elC)
Also I have a custom made version of TALS which is an awesome way to cloak and control the flow of traffic towards specific tours/landing pages ... it is also good to re-route all your traffic across multiple sites towards a different tour all at once from one place..... should one of your sponsors "die" that is... NO.. I am not selling anything lol |
Thanks JBlack.
