Time: Fri, 3 Jan 2003 12:36:15 -0800
From: "James Oghene" <[email protected]> Block address/domain To: [email protected] CC: Subject: Attachments: Dear Friend, I am a Private Investigator based in Europe. A group of Government Officials from an African Country contacted me with a Proposal. I am to Make contact with you and state their offer, if your Interest is Genuine, you will be Contacted for your Account details to which will be transferred the sum of $33,600,000.00 USD. (20% of which is yours). You are then required to forward the remaining balance (Minus the Interest, handling and tax clearance charges, which Will be offset by Us & Deducted from the transferred sum) to a nominated Bank account in the Cayman Islands. I don't think I need to spell out the importance of Secrecy in this Matter considering the amount involved. Let me state clearly here that the account that you would be providing does not need to have funds in it; it is only needed to be active and be able to receive funds. So, if I don't hear from you within three days I will assume you are not interested and will solicit for a new partner, but if you know you are interested let me know. List your phone & fax Numbers so we may communicate with you. This is important as we would Have to talk about the modalities of the transaction. Waiting to hear from you. Regards James Oghene |

I like the one I get weekly from the African doctor. I usually offer to do the deal for a $5 million dollar advance payment and tell him I'll throw in some white women but so far he has declined...

> Yeah got that awhile ago and thought it was real too. But it
> is total BS don't send them a penny Sheesh, how can people fall for this shit? It never ceases to amaze me how gullible people can be. Then again, I guess thats why that particular scam is a multi-billion dollar "success". |
Someone esplain to me how that scam works, I couldn't figure it out
|
I got my money ok...
|
I always tell them that I'm really interested, and for them to call me right away so we can get things started, but I just have a few questions first. Then I give them the phone number to the FBI or other internet fraud organizations and tell them to give me a call.
For those that seriously don't know how the scam works, read this: http://www.snopes2.com/inboxer/scams/nigeria.htm |
Old news...I already took all their money:winkwink:

first time I received a similar email I even replied to the sender just for fun :) But no answer. It seems they have many victims to choose from.
Don't ever send money, wake up! but I think this is not the place of potential victims. |
