Fuck epass and their security policies

If you live in one of the following countries, you may find some restrictions placed on your account

* CROATIA
* BENIN
* ESTONIA
* GHANA
* HUNGARY
* INDIA

* MALAYSIA
* MOLDOVA, REPUBLIC OF
* MONTENEGRO

* VIET NAM
* SLOVENIA
* THAILAND
* UGANDA
* UKRAINE
* MACEDONIA, THE FORMER YUGOSLAV REPUBLIC OF

My friend tried to send me money by Peer-to-Peer (P2P), but he said that he received a message from ePassporte telling him that I can?t receive P2Ps anymore. Why?

Due to recently implemented security measures, ePassporte has deactivated the peer-to-peer functionality of ePassporte Account Holders from certain geographic locations. This change may limit some ePassporte Account Holders from being able to send and receive peer-to-peer funds. Please understand this change has been made to ensure the security of ePassporte and our Account Holders.

What do I need to do to be able to send and receive Peer-to-Peer (P2P) again?

ePassporte can not reactivate the P2P functionality due to security reasons.

Wait, you're mad at ePassporte because citizens of those countries are often thieves and scammers? How in the hell is that ePassporte's fault?

ContentPimp 07-04-2010 12:15 PM

Well, epass does have weird policies, they restrict some countries (ie SLovakia) but allow Czech Republic (wait, few years ago they used to be the same country) and oh they are both in European union, so the same financial laws affect them.

There is also Hungary, it's also in the EU yet its restricted, but the banking laws are governed by the EU laws.... there's a few more EU countries that are restricted as well... strange...

lets restrict new mexico, but allow arkansas, restrict new jersey, but allow new york LOL

You're comparing apples to bricks. States are not the same as countries.

Michael O 07-04-2010 06:20 PM

These restrictions have been in place for years for a reason accounts from those countries in good standing when we changed the rules can still receive p2ps.

If you have any questions about your account please email me at [email protected]

Thanks for saying that, save me doing it :2 cents::winkwink:

lagcam 07-04-2010 06:58 PM

The restrictions are clearly explained at sign up from these countries and whilst there are legitimate honest people working from these countries, epassporte doesn't have the time nor resources to check everybody out individually so they have to restrict on a per country basis. Much the same as most of us do with our sites.

At least people in these countries can still receive money from business accounts that most sponsors have, so there is a reason to have an epassporte card.

Tell your friend to send you western union or paypal.

l

BUT they did have time to check EVERYBODY in america, they were by my place last week checking me out...

Nikitos 07-05-2010 12:24 AM

You can still get the money from business accounts.

mikesinner 07-05-2010 12:34 AM

those same countries are blocked by most adult programs.

In many cases if you live in one of those countries you can't sign up for many affiliate programs or send traffic.

It's best to move if you want to be an adult webmaster in one of those countries or stay with specific programs that will work with you.

Or you might have to spend many hours convincing people to work with you.

It's not the industries fault that there are so many cockroaches operating in these areas.

Just talked with Michael, he said that if you have older epass account these restrictions don't apply to you, and you can still receive money from personal account holders :)

This is incorrect.

I always laugh about it. Wake fucking up, scammers mostly come from America where
technology allows that.

This is because those countries REGULATE what their citizens can do or can not do, it's because their financial markets are overregulated and do not allow people using external finances, same applies for PayPal, it allows sending money but not receiving.
