Best comedy clubs in LA

Hi All,

My girlfriend's birthday is this week and I though it would be great to take her to a nice dinner and comedy show but have not been to any comedy clubs here in LA since the Laugh Factory about 10 years ago. We would be going Tuesday night. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Mitch

You could try to make up a comedy routine yourself specialized just for her.

I think the Laugh Factory is the place in LA I like the most, but the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach is always fun.

Improv Olympics in Hollywood. The Lampshades and Beer, Shark, Mice will leave you in tears. Bar is cheap. Admission is, too.

My friend Jay Davis does Tuesday night there. That is the very best place on Tuesday. Tuesday is the best night of the week there. All of the serious pros got there and tune up their acts.

Was there when Dane Cook was head lining. Was looking forward to seeing Dane Cook because he is a real funny guy. So the act before the headliner goes up and it was David Chapelle. He wasn't scheduled at all, just happened to be there and decided to come up and say a few jokes. Was so fucking funny he had everyone falling out of their chairs. He went way over the time limit, but nobody said shit.

Then after he got off of the stage Dane Cook was introduced and people didnt really laugh as much. I kinda felt bad. I stayed but he really wasn't that funny after Chapelle.

The laugh Factory is the very best place to be on a Tuesday night. You never know who is gonna show up and say what.:thumbsup
