Where Will Lebron James Go ?
My son and I are staying up late and celebrating tonight. Pretty exciting night in the NBA. I know it may be a few days till we know where he goes but still super exciting. Who will be the new cavs head coach? Where will Lebron go? What about Carmelo Anthony? I hear talks of him getting traded too. Lots of great players that will be up for grabs. I can't wait for the 2010 season.

This is what I think will happen. Lebron stays with the Cavs for a couple years while trying to build a super team for his home town of Cleveland Ohio. They did have the best record in the NBA for two years in a row. Also only 2 players in history have ever switched teams in the off season after winning back to back MVPs. Wilt Chamberlain and Mosses Malone. If Lebron does leave Cleveland they will have nothing lol.

The Lakers.
|
If Lebron leaves, I think he bolts to Chicago who already has a playoff team
|
|
Lebron should go to a team where he has support.. they had the best records but did not win against Boston who had one of the worst.. If they had a deeper bench I bet he would stay

A number of the online casinos are offering props on this very question and people love betting on props.
:2 cents: GREAT conversion tool! |

At first I thought it would be LeBron and D. Wade going to the Nicks. I now think Wade will convince Pat Riley to coach the heat and LeBron will join wade in Miami.

Besides players cant be signed for another week, so I'm sure he's going to let the world wait on his decision, so he can soak up some more attention. |

Hmmm...
I so know nothing about Basketball... The Colts ? :1orglaugh
Lakers would be cool mind... |
Didn't they just catch him checking out a place to buy in NY? Hmm

The NBA's collective bargaining agreement states that there is a max contract you can offer a player. If a player has less than 6 years then the most they can pay him is 25% of the total salary cap or around 13 million per year. This is the most any team can offer so no matter where he would go he would get the same money. There is what they call the Larry Bird Exception. This is a clause in the CBA that allows teams to exceed the max contract numbers to resign their own players. So the Cavs could offer him more money (I read as much as 30 million over the life of the contract) than any other team. |

Allen isnt going anywhere. Next season will be mostly the same some of the bench will definately be gone though. Sheed, robinson, etc... |

but i don't think Lebron is going to stick around for more money, when all he has to do is get a few more endorsements to cover the slack. who the fuck knows tho, I'm sure he's going to string this out so he can get as much attention as he possibly can. |

As for Lebron, you are 100% correct. The contract money is only a tiny little piece of the pie. If he goes to a major market he will make 10 times more than he could get with the Bird exception contract in endorsements. |

WTF are you talking about? Im a cavs, browns, and indians FAN born and raised in cleveland and this shit is NOT exciting fuck off
|
10 mins till free agency!! I still say he stays with the Cavs.

I've never seen so much hay made about one of the most over-rated players ever. Sure he has talent.
But something is wrong with his head. Maybe it comes from the world sucking his dick since high school & he is treated like a champion without actually winning a damn thing. That meltdown against the celtics was appalling, not because they matched up so badly, but because they blatently folded. Lebron folded right along with the team. Those moments of adversity is where you see the true character of your players. Dwayne Wade never folded like that on a team that was terrible around him. Wherever he goes, they will lose. :2 cents: |
Lebron = All Hype, No Heart.
Same with that drag queen Chris Bosh (as Shaq once so eloquently said) :) |
Lebron is gone, trust me.
It's going to be fun watching all the madness this is a really rare thing watching all these free agents move around. I'm a Lakers fan and hoping we can land Bosh and keep Phil. |

He will play in my basement for my personal pleasure
|
chicago, if he was staying why wouldn't he address it with the media over the last two years as opposed to dodging the question. He has no loyalty to no one but himself. But everyone thinks he the best thing ever? Guy can't even tell you if he's leaving your franchise or not...
|
i wish he stay in cavaliers...
|
I don't think LeBron will leave the Cavs. Although the new ownership group did make a bad move with the Izzo thing and Lebron not being able to talk. The only team I could see him going to is the Nets. Sure I would love him in a Knicks jersey but that will never happen. The Nets have alto of business reasons long term for him not shit ring potential. Chicago, although it has a perfect team set up for him just has too much of a legacy to match or beat. He would need to win 7 rings there to make it worthwhile and that just ain't happening in the modern NBA. Meanwhile if he brings one championship to the Nets and they move to Brooklyn he would be one of the biggest NBA saviors of all time.
But at the end of the day I think he stays in Cleveland. What will be more interesting is to see where all the other free agents land. It's gonna be an entirely new NBA next year that is for sure. Side Note: As a Knicks fan I think their best chances are to land Amare and Joe Johnson and have DeAntoni run his old style Phoenix Suns deal to just outscore the fuck out of the East. All they would need is one good point guard int here and with the rest of the team the Knicks have already they would be a lock for the eastern conference championship series at least. |
His talks with the Nets and the Knicks are over.

Lebron James is a skillful player.

James to sign in Chicago.... Book IT!
|
Looks like Phil Jackson will stay in LA.
|
I think it would hurt the league to see Cleveland go back to a draft lottery team.
|
i heard lebron james was going to team edward
|
So he's doing a 1-hour infomercial on ESPN on Thursday night? This guy is so fucked out. I don't even give a shit where he goes anymore.

Tomorrow at 9:00pm on ESPN. Pretty interesting. |
If he leaves cleveland, they will be the new clippers.
|
Lebron wants two things, he wants to win a championships and he wants to be a billionaire athlete.
The most any other team can offer him officially is $96.1 million over five years. Cleveland can offer him $125 million over six. So contract monetary wise, it is not a factor to his decision. Cleveland really can't secure a string of championships for him. Also, 1/2 the team boned his mom or will bone his mom. My money is on him signing to the Bulls or Knicks. There's more marketing potential there for him than Cleveland. |
