dodgy stats?
I'm an affiliate with a particular program that uses a certain 3rd party biller. I won't say who it is yet as I'm not 100% sure there really is a problem, but...check this out:
7 signups in the first 3 weeks, 0 signups in the next 8 weeks This is with consistent levels of traffic (clicks are still counted even though there are 0 signups). Eventually I wrote to them about it, and they replied that there was a minor stats problem (it was showing 8 signups) which they had fixed. Bang - suddenly the signups start happening again! Two more emails have said 'everything is ok' with regards to that 8 week period of silence. I'm trying to politely point out that the stats do not look correct at all... has anyone ever seen signups go completely quiet (while still counting clicks) for nearly TWO MONTHS? Does that trend, and the coincidental resumption of signups after fixing a stats problem, look just a BIT dodgy to you? :Graucho |
PS: I'm interested to hear if something similar has happened to anyone else...if so then perhaps the company name is the same. Remember I'm talking about a site using a 3rd party biller, not an in-house affiliate program.
