Lebron Wade AND Bosh in Miami

lame if it happens, well Jordan and Kobe will never have to worry about Lebron being compared to them because it's a pussy move and even if Lebron wins a title or two it's totally discounted.

cwd 06-29-2010 07:03 AM

haha

never happen.

Zuzana Designs 06-29-2010 07:38 AM

It's going to be interesting to see where they all go.

Bryan G 06-29-2010 07:40 AM

Bosh is staying in Toronto!!!!

LOL not likely

The Dawg 06-29-2010 08:31 AM

Not happening. Stephen A. Smith is an idiot. He says foolishness just to get his name out there.

Im hoping Bosh signs with the Heat. If he decides to follow Lebron, then I guess the Heat will sign Amare.

Raf1 06-29-2010 08:36 AM

yeah, not likely...

Even if it happens which I doubt, if he wins that way why would it be discounted? Basketball is a team game you need other great players and good role players to win a championship. Jordan (Jordan had less for sure) and Kobe both had help and so did every other guy that won a ring. Lebron would be an idiot to sign anywhere that doesn't have another very good player for him to play with.

BTW I have a feeling Lakers have a good shot at getting Bosh.

D-Money 06-29-2010 10:06 AM

LeBron will need to make the first move which will help Bosh and Wade get top dollar knowing that LeBron is off the table. If they're in this together, then LeBron goes first. And it would make most sense for him to calm down Cleveland fans by making the announcement that he is staying. Cleveland will pay him way more. As far as championships in the future, Cleveland is always a contender with LeBron. They've put pieces around him, had the best record in the NBA the last 2 years. All Cleveland needs is 1 more top notch free agent and they're back in the championship. Boston won't be as good next year. Even with Carlos Boozer making a return to Cleveland, that would be plenty. There are lot's of free agents that will make Cleveland much better.

Plus, Lebron will be hated if he leaves Cleveland. I don't think he wants to be hated in his home town. I say LeBron signs a 2 to 3 year deal with the Cavs.

I also think Wade is staying in Miami and Bosh will more then likely go there. How can Wade leave a franchise that he already won a championship with? Plus I think Bosh said Miami was one of the top 5 teams he'd go play for.

I agree 100% with D$

wrong - Jordan and Kobe made their 'help' into 'top tier' help - none of them were superstars. Kobe had Shaq and nobody gave him his due until he won a championship without him. Paul Gasol and Ron Artest aren't Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.

great players do need a supporting cast to win championships but Jordan and Kobe didn't need 2 other all-star max contract type stars to do it.

dyna mo 06-29-2010 10:48 AM

where's phil jackson going! ?????

pradaboy 06-29-2010 12:28 PM

Why would it be worth less if Lebron did it this way?

Kobe had Shaq at first, but in these last few years he has been surrounded more by role players although you can argue that several of the guys on the Lakers are all-star caliber players.

Jordan had Pippen who was named as one of the NBA's 50 greatest players of all time. I'm sure Jordan helped in is development, but to say that Jordan didn't have all-star help is just not accurate.

fatfoo 06-29-2010 12:38 PM

Chris Bosh is a skillful player for the Toronto Raptors.

AZNNC 06-29-2010 12:38 PM

I hope it happens.
And Kobe & Phil Jackson still beat them.
And bosh gets a hangnail and is done for the season. Crybaby.

Pipecrew 06-29-2010 01:05 PM

i might even use the season tickets this year now.

If Scottie Pippen had been drafted by Golden State he wouldn't be on the list of the NBA's 500 greatest players of all time.

my whole point here is that we've never seen multiple free agent superstars conspire together to go to one team. Bosh is borderline superstar, his stats and his role on the Olympic team put him in the 10-15th ranked player in the NBA. and it's lame, it's like in Little League sports where some douchebag parent/coach who takes it all too seriously stacks his team with the best kids.

I also think that if it happens it will backfire on them - these are three players who have been the number one scoring option on their teams, they all can't get the ball. Bosh will be cool with scoring 17 pts a game versus 23 but Wade and Lebron - they'll both want to score 30 a night and it won't happen.

slavdogg 06-29-2010 01:27 PM

i agree that Wade and Labron wont be able to coexist on the same team.

MovieMaster 06-29-2010 01:46 PM

I cant even really think of a team thats won the ring without a decent bigman...

Thats why bosh is so critical.

It is possible Pippen may not have become who is did if he had gone elsewhere. There are also people who say Jordan wouldn't have been who he was if he had been drafted by Portland. These are all things we will never know.

As you say, this really is the first time we have seen (at least openly) a group of free agents working together like this. What will determine if it works is how willing the guys are to put ego aside in exchange for championships. If it is about money they will stay where they are because their home teams can exceed the normal max. If it is about scoring and fame James might go to New York or somewhere like that. If they want rings and can set the ego aside, they can all end up on the same team and dominate. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
