What are some good alcoholic drinks to make ?
 

We're gonna be heading out camping for the 4th in a couple of days and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good alcoholic drinks that I could whip up for the holiday :)

Do you intend to get so drunk you can't remember who you are or would you just like to have something refreshing available?

Rarely, I enjoy a small amount of vodka, pina coloda, beer and red wine.

Vodka and Red bull. Repeat.Repeat.Repeat.Repeat.Repeat.Repeat.Repeat.R epeat.

Malibu / Pineapple / 7-Up

Mix in equal thirds over ice. Nice refreshing kind of drink, especially when it's hot out, and Malibu has pretty low alcohol content... you'd have to pound these pretty hard to get drunk. :winkwink:

(Malibu is a coconut rum, fyi)

Tequila is the only true party drink.

Tequila plain, tequila with fucking anything.

Meyer's Rum, Coca-cola and lime juice. Yum.....:thumbsup

If you want something harder...

Premium 100% Agave Anejo Tequila / Squirt
You know what to do. Shot or two of tequila, top with Squirt soda over ice.
The key here is always the tequila. The good shit is money.

I like substituting gin for the rum in Mojitos. I believe it's called a Southside... has a little more bite to it than your standard mojito, plus white rum tastes like ass anyway.

Real fruit in a punch with strong alcohol added [151, everclear etc] let it sit in the fridge for a couple of days. Be careful, it is strong and the taste may not warn you!

Southern Punch Recipe

Ingredients
4 cups of Southern Comfort
8 cups of 7-Up
1 can of Lemonade (Frozen)
1 can of Orange Juice (Frozen)
Mixing Instruction
Mix over ice in a punch bowl. Garnish with slices of orange and lemon. (A great party drink)

Over the past 6-12 months I revised my drinking habits and so far for the simple solution I had the best results with premium gin/rum/tequila mixed with organic juices depending on the occasion.

That sounds really good.

salt, tequila -must be silver, lime.. who needs more?

I like lemonade with some vodka in it. You can just buy lemon juice and follow the instructions on the bottle to make the lemonade (you just add sugar and water) then mix 1 shot of vodka with about 2-3 shots of lemonade.

Cool, refreshing and good.

My girlfriend makes what she calls "panty dropping punch." It is equal parts Hawaiian punch, pineapple juice and dark rum. You can't even taste the booze so it sneaks up on you. As she puts it, "You are drinking them and having fun, then bam! you're hammered, naked and dancing on a table."

Never tried it with the 7-Up. That sounds tasty.

Blue Valium

Long Island Ice Tea but sprite and blue carousel instead of coke and and sweet and sour

Amaretto sour. :thumbsup

For taste my favorite drink is pineapple rum mixed with orange juice. You taste no alcohol and it's simple to make.

Start off with 2 fingers of Jack Daniels then add 2 Fingers of Jack Daniels. :thumbsup

18 cans beer
1 bottle Everclear alcohol
1 bottle Tequila
1 1/2 jugs, pre-made pink lemonade

Beer and whiskey is all you really need. Sounds like a gay outing when you start making girlie drinks while "roughin" it outdoors

IMO if I couldn't drink something that was cold enough I would just bring a bottle of Sailor Jerry's and some beer to chase it with. Good enough for me and it's 92 proof so you'll get your buzz on a little sooner.

Thanks everyone for your ideas, they sound pretty tasty :) I'll have to give some of them a try. I know last 4th was a good one, I was up until 5:30am around the campfire, ha ha.

Vodka,Clamato, some celery salt around the rim add a few drops of Worchester sauce,Tabasco and add some celery sticks..I love Caesars

Buy a couple of bottles of scotch, a few cases of beer and lots of ice. Have fun!
